An Ohio native, Dr. Jennifer Wright, D.C., is thrilled to serve patients as a Doctor of Chiropractic at The Joint in the New Tampa area. She is passionate about treating patients of all ages—and particularly loves caring for her pediatric patients.
After attending The Ohio State University for her undergraduate studies (Go Bucks!), Dr. Wright went on to achieve her Doctor of Chiropractic at Logan College of Chiropractic in 2007 where she was recognized for outstanding and unselfish service as a Senior Intern.
Dr. Wright knows the power of chiropractic care firsthand, not only through the people she serves, but within her own life. While in high school playing basketball, she severely injured her back. She tried physical therapy and pain medication, but nothing helped. It wasn’t until she was treated by a chiropractor that she finally experienced relief. This life-changing experience pushed Dr. Wright to pursue her career as a chiropractor.
Dr. Wright’s favorite part of chiropractic is her ability to practice a holistic, preventative approach to healthcare. This whole-body approach focuses on the root cause, allowing the body to heal itself. She’s grateful to be able to help patients restore their bodies’ optimal functionality, changing their lives for the better.
In her free time, Dr. Wright loves weight training, traveling, and spending time with her two children. She is also very passionate to keep up to date with healthcare regimens and continuing her education. She is currently studying to become a nurse practitioner to better care for her patients accordingly to their specific medical conditions and/or needs.
Her personal mission is to impact as many people as possible with the power of chiropractic, and she’s grateful each day that she’s able to make a difference in the lives of those she serves.
Dr. Richard Tantillo joined The Joint Chiropractic family of local healthcare providers in 2019 with his arrival at the New Tampa clinic location. He is a graduate of the University of the State of New York with a bachelor’s degree in biological science, and a master’s in business, before getting his doctorate in chiropractic.
“The thing I like most about being in the chiropractic field is the honor of serving my community and affecting my patients in a positive, meaningful, and efficacious manner,” he says. “It’s gratifying educating my patients so they can experience the benefit of total health and vitality through regular spinal adjustments.”
Originally from Long Island, N.Y., Dr. Tantillo has also worked in Palm Harbor and St. Petersburg.
When he has some spare time from three daughters, two cats, a golden retriever, and a fiancee, Dr. Tantillo enjoys training for and participating in triathlons, golfing, and gardening.
His own first-hand experience with chiropractic led him to this point in his life. “After long-lasting back pain, I visited a chiropractor and received my first chiropractic adjustment,” he says. “I felt immediate relief. I started chiropractic college two years later and have never looked back.”
He is grateful for the opportunity to work at The Joint Chiropractic in an environment that doesn’t lose sight of the goal: serving people who need help.
“I had practiced for years following the insurance model,” he says. “Over time, I saw many of my patients no longer able to afford chiropractic care due to high deductibles and copays. The Joint offers an affordable solution that allows almost everyone to enjoy the benefits of regular chiropractic care.”
In Case You Didn’t Know
Dr. Tantillo says the one thing he always has in his refrigerator is pomegranate juice: “It’s a super antioxidant.”
If he had the opportunity to sit down to dinner with any four people from history, he says invitations would go out to Jesus, polymath Sir Isaac Newton, physicist Albert Einstein, and actress Betty White.
The coolest thing Dr. Tantillo has done took place in his younger days. “I played percussion and sang in rock bands in the 1980s,” he says. “I got to play with and was accepted by some serious musicians and audiences.”
