Dr. Shanna Thomas has been in practice for just over 10 years. She graduated from South Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2000. From there, she attended Life University. She's been working with The Joint Chiropractic since 2014 and previously worked at the Cumming location. She's excited to be much closer to home with our Marietta location.
Dr. Thomas is passionate about helping to relieve patients of their pain and ailments. She is particularly fond of resolving issues in her patients that have to do with hips or sciatica pain and sinuses. She specializes in stretching techniques to help her patients achieve the best possible results. She also specializes in prenatal and pediatrics.
Dr. Peter received his Doctorate in Chiropractic from Life Chiropractic College in Marietta, Georgia in 1985.
Dr. Peter is Georgia State Board Certified in Physiotherapeutics, with clinical specialization in acute and chronic pain management through the utilization protocols in cryotherapy, hot fomentation, therapeutic ultrasound, myofascial muscle release and electric muscle stimulation.
Dr. Peter is a Certified Fitness Trainer (CFT), credentialed from the International Sports Science Association since 2004. He has won Division and City Titles with the Atlanta Lawn and Tennis Association (ALTA). He understands the need for rapid physical recovery and total body balance.
Dr. Peter is a Chiropractic Industrial Consultant and has assisted companies in the improvement of compromised work environments that may otherwise predispose workers to neuromusculoskeletal injuries.
Dr. Williams is Certified in the Blood Type Diet™, the prolific international works of Dr. Peter J. D’Adamo and his best-selling books. The first book, “Eat Right 4 Your Type”, was translated into over twenty different languages and has received international acclaim.
Dr. Peter resides in Marietta, Georgia with his lovely wife, Arlene of over three decades.
Originally from Alabama, Dr. Joshua graduated high school as valedictorian of his class at just 17 years old. After a traumatic head injury left him with severe headaches for 2 years, he finally sought treatment with a chiropractor. Two adjustments later, and the relief was unparalleled. This experience prompted him to pursue a career as a chiropractor, and he graduated from Life University in 2015 with Doctorate after completing his Bachelor of Science in nutrition.
Dr. Joshua says, “I enjoy riding motorcycles and learning to code in my spare time. While working at The Joint, I I hope to give everyone that same life changing adjustment that I got.”
Chase Ethridge is a Georgia native who got interested in chiropractic after sustaining several injuries from triathlon racing. After finding a chiropractor who did a mix of adjusting and soft-tissue work, he has been hooked ever since. He graduated from University of Georgia in 2007 and continued on to Life University and graduated in 2011. He is proficient in activator, diversified, Thompson table, and myofacial release. He has had personal experience with chronic pain and sports related injuries, and has a particular interest in treating people with these types of conditions. In his free time Chase likes hanging with his wife, binge watching Netflix, and spending time outside.
Dr. Gomes is passionate with his work, and really loves taking care of others. His passion for chiropractic came when he was just in high school after an Wrestling injury. he was seen by a chiropractor to resolve his migraines since he was 13, but as soon as he had his injury and got better with chiropractic care he knew what he wanted to do as a career. With chiropractic Dr. Gomes has been able to serve his patients and the community with chiropractic care as well recommend other lifestyle choices to his patients.
Dr. Gomes is a firm believer that the spine is the first place to look at, but also cares for the extremities. Due to his background of sports, he fully understands the effects and benefits of adjusting the extremities.
He taught for 3 years under his mentors at school in extremity adjusting. He has been working at a chiropractic office since June 2015, while still completing the requirements for his chiropractic program, which he finished in December 2017 at Life University. Dr. Gomes also recently received the Masters in Sports Chiropractic from Life University in June 2019. Dr. Gomes is almost one of the few certified in extremity adjusting(C.C.E.P.)
While in school, Dr. Gomes spent his time refining his craft of spinal adjusting and extremity adjusting. He was also a certified member on the board of Thompson Technique club.
When Dr. Gomes has free time, he likes to spend it with his dog, Rooney, or at the gym. He also is an avid supporter of Atlanta United FC, and Manchester United FC.
