Do You Find Yourself Looking for Healthy Drinks?

We all drink, at least we should.  Drinking water is an essential that is too often neglected.  The truth is that many of us just don't care for the taste of water.  It certainly is different depending upon the source.  Even many of the bottled waters vary according to location as they seem to be bottled in some very different places.  As a result, we may try to find good substitutes.  While there are lots of things on the market, we have to educate ourselves as to the health benefits of each of them as some can have fairly severe impacts on health.  Those who drink more than a few carbonated drinks may be relying on something that is liquid and chemicals.

Stay Alert for Catchy Ads

All you need to do is look around.  By doing so, you may think there are some miracle drinks that can provide enough energy or vitamins to keep you going from now on, or so it would appear.  While some of them do contain some good things, the real deal may be a few of the other things that are added.  One of the big ones is caffeine.  Be sure to take a look at how much of it is contained in a drink.  Even though most of us are aware of its presence in some soft drinks, the amount in many of these energy drinks far surpasses what may be considered a reasonable amount.

Natural Flavors Are Good

There are quite a few drinks on the market that contain water with some kind of natural juice to add a little flavor.  Some others seem to have only vitamins or minerals.  Either is probably a good choice, but it may not be what you prefer.  A good suggestion is to give them a try one by one.  You will likely land on something that appeals to you.  There is a pretty good variety available, and you are sure to find something that suits you.

Customize Your Own Drink

When I am wanting something better, and healthier, I usually go for creating my own flavors.  Many places offer all kinds of add-ons in the way of flavors.  One of my kids prefers water with blackberry added.  My wife often chooses pineapple added to her water.  I enjoy getting water with lime and strawberry added.  It has very few calories and tastes a lot like a very light strawberry-limeade.  For me, it is very refreshing.
