Your daily schedule is packed so you hit your family's favorite takeout restaurant for dinner. The weather has been a little extra frightful the past few days so you have been skipping those early morning walks. And with all the interesting shows to watch on TV, your bedtime has been pushed back further and further and further, hasn't it? It's hard to maintain good health as it is, but it's even harder when the changes you want to make bump into your daily reality! Fortunately, your local chiropractors have some advice to share!

  • One habit - Setting goals can become quite addicting but if you set too many, you may find yourself in a pickle. Instead of trying to establish several new habits at once, why don't you focus on successfully achieving one at a time? This is a great way to keep yourself from feeling frustrated and overwhelmed.
  • Accountability partner - If you have trouble maintaining the right amount of motivation, you may want to consider finding yourself an accountability partner. This person should be someone who will support and encourage you. It should also be someone who won't accept your excuses to get out of your new habit (unless, of course, they are really good ones) and who will listen to you vent when times get tough. Basically, you want to trust this person to keep you on track!
