Dr. James Salmon, D.C., is a licensed chiropractor at The Joint Chiropractic in Boise, Idaho, providing patient-focused, evidence-informed chiropractic care to individuals and families in the Treasure Valley. He earned his Doctor of Chiropractic from Parker University in April 2022 after completing a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology from BYU–Idaho in 2018. Dr. Salmon also holds a Master of Science in Sport Science and Rehabilitation from Logan University, strengthening his clinical approach to movement, recovery, and pain management.

 

Dr. Salmon is passionate about helping patients of all ages — including infants and children — move without pain and improve their overall quality of life through conservative, non-invasive chiropractic care. Before relocating to Idaho, he served as a lead chiropractor in Dallas, Texas, where he gained valuable experience treating a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions. Outside the clinic, Dr. Salmon enjoys hiking, camping, and spending time outdoors with his wife, Allison, and their four sons.

Dr. Richard D. King, D.C., was born in Tacoma, Washington and raised in many cities across the world including London, England and Houston, Texas. He attended Brigham Young University – Provo with his degrees in Exercise Science and Human Anatomy. He has certificates in Functional Movement Technique, Myofascial Release Technique, and Gratson (Muscle Scraping).

Upon receiving his Doctor of Chiropractic degree at University of Western States, Dr. King started practicing family chiropractic in Houston, Texas and moved to St. George, Utah. Dr. King says the best thing about chiropractic is: “being able to help people naturally and to assist people in regaining their health”. He has been The Joint’s local chiropractor since July of 2021.

In his spare time, he enjoys doing pyrography (wood burning art), reading, going to the gym, and hiking.

Dr. King has 3 sons and 1 daughter between the ages of 4 months and 12 years of age. The coolest thing Dr. King has ever done was go skydiving. “Jumping out of a plane at 14,000 ft. and enjoying the view of everything, especially the ocean – it’s exhilarating.”
