Dr. Ashley Fontenot is a native of Eunice and graduated from Eunice High School in 2000. She attended Louisiana State University at Eunice and graduated with academic honors in 2003 with an Associate of Science Degree.
Dr. Ashley became interested in chiropractic when she was a child. Her father’s best friend was a chiropractor and so were his two sons. Dr. Ashley’s father would take her to get adjusted on a regular basis and this helped to keep her healthy way into adulthood. She attended Texas Chiropractic College in Pasadena, TX and graduated in 2006 with a Doctor of Chiropractic Degree and a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology.
She practiced with a neurosurgeon in the Texas Medical Center in Houston in early 2007 then took a position as an associate doctor in Angleton, TX and practiced there for six years. Now she is the clinic director and chiropractor at The Joint in Lafayette.
She has adjusted thousands of patients ranging from infants, children, pregnant women, athletes, and geriatric patients. Her passion is to help others achieve optimal health and well being by enhancing their natural ability to heal through chiropractic care. She is married to Dr. Michael Fontenot, who is also a chiropractor. They have two children, a daughter named Camila and a son named Micah.
Dr. Michael Fontenot is a native of Eunice and he graduated from Eunice High School in 1998. He attended LSUE and LSU from 1998-2002. He attended LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans from 2002 to 2004 and graduated in August 2004 with a Bachelor of Science in Cardiopulmonary Science from LSU HSC.
He fell in love with Chiropractic while he was working at a rehab hospital in New Orleans, where he discovered the importance of preventative and wellness care. He was amazed by the body’s natural healing powers and wanted to take a more active role in helping patients get better. That is when he decided to pursue a career in chiropractic. He attended Texas Chiropractic College and graduated, with academic honors, with his Doctor of Chiropractic Degree in April 2008.
Dr. Michael has advanced training in Integrative Dry Needling for Sports Medicine and Trauma Rehabilitation, taught by Dr. Yun-Tao Ma, Ph.D. of the American Dry Needling Institute. He has also completed post-doctorate training from the world-renowned Spine Research Institute of San Diego and Dr. Arthur Croft, which focuses on whiplash and brain injury trauma related to automobile accidents.
Dr. Kris Frankenberg started by getting his bachelors in Biology at the University of New York and then went on to Life college to receive his Doctorate in Chiropractic. He then graduated in 1997 and practiced in Ohio and Georgia. Dr.Kris Frankenberg has seen thousands of Chiropractic patients with a variety of health conditions. He specializes in extremity adjusting and any sport related injury. He currently resides in Lafayette, La. with his family and enjoys hunting, fishing and camping. Dr. Kris Frankenberg is also knowledgeable in the wellness aspect of health and helps his patients achieve their personal health goals.
Dr. Kevin Miller was born and raised in Eunice Louisiana, where after graduating from St. Edmund's High School, he studied zoology at LSU Eunice and LSU Baton Rouge. He then took a few years off of school to work in the Louisiana and California oilfields, before returning to LSU to finish up his prerequisites for chiropractic college.
Miller went on to attend Los Angeles Chiropractic College for two years before transferring to Western States Chiropractic College in Portland Oregon, where he received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 1998.
He then went on to work in Louisiana. Dr. Miller started working for The Joint Chiropractic in 2017. He feels so blessed to help so many people over the last 30 years.
When not chasing grandchildren, Dr. Kevin Miller enjoys cycling, hunting, fishing, camping, and acting in community theater. he and his lovely wife Marsha have been blessed with a son, and three daughters, as well as three granddaughters and a grandson.
