Signs You Should Do a Detox or Cleanse

Doing an occasional detox or cleanse and getting your body back on track to healthier foods is a great way to get extra toxins out of your body. Honestly, we all need to do a detox every once in a while in order to help our bodies avoid diseases and be our healthiest selves. If you aren't exactly sure if you should go on a cleanse, see if you any of the below matches with you.
You Have Been Indulging Lately
This happens to almost everyone either on vacation or during the holidays; we are all guilty of indulging a little bit more than we should every so often. If you have been eating or drinking excessively, then this is a great time to do a cleanse and help your body recover.
Feeling Sluggish and Fatigued
If you are constantly feeling exhausted, it can be caused from toxin buildup, inflammation or stress. Being in that state increases your cortisol levels, which is what is making you extra sleepy. Doing a cleanse can reset your hormones and help your body feel energized again.
Excessive Cravings
If you just can't seem to shake constantly craving junk or sweet foods, it shows how your body needs some hormone balancing. When you detox, it is replacing those processed cravings for delicious, healthy foods to fuel your body with nutrients.

This definitely used to be me, and I felt anxious about cutting down on some foods that I loved so much. Feeling this way shows that you might have an unhealthy, emotional attachment to food and you could be using some unhealthy foods as a reward to yourself. Doing a detox can determine what your relationship is with food and how you can better fuel your body.
