Why You Should Be Drinking Lemon Water Every Morning

This is a habit that I have picked up and I swear by and actually look forward to now. Starting your day with lemon water is a cheap, simple way to hydrate and oxygenates the body. It will leave your body feeling refreshed and revitalized to begin your day. This natural energizer has the ability to help maintain your body in an alkaline state. Not so surprisingly, the foods that cause an imbalance to our body's pH levels are sugar, processed foods, excessive fatty foods, and alcohol. While we all know our diets have a huge effect on our health, adapting the lemon water daily routine is a great place to start. Lemon water really does make the water taste better and make me drink more water than I would just on its own.
Apple Cider Vinegar for an Extra Boost
When looking for an extra boost of energy or for my immune system, I add a splash of Apple Cider Vinegar to my morning lemon water. Drinking apple cider vinegar has a distinct taste that some people have a hard time drinking, but it's worth it for its extra health benefits. Especially when I am first starting to feel sickness coming, the first thing that I do is mix some apple cider vinegar in my water.
Warning
There is one downfall to this habit to be aware of, and that's that the acid in the lemon can wear down tooth enamel. To help once you finished drinking your lemon water, rinse with another glass of water, swish it around, and spit it out.
