End Your Chronic Whiplash Pain
If you have never experienced whiplash you might not realize how debilitating it can be. After being injured you may feel like you constantly are suffering from neck pain, having problems with your range of motion and getting chronic headaches. When your neck is forced into a violent back and forth movement, similar to cracking a whip, you can get a whiplash injury. This doesn’t always come from car accidents, it can occur while playing sports or even when rough housing with the kids.
Unfortunately, when I experienced whiplash it was due to a car accident. I was side-swiped by an on-coming vehicle and my head was knocked into the side window. I didn’t really feel the pain until the next morning when I woke up with the worst stiff neck of my life. I made an appointment that day to see my doctor, but there was really nothing they could do for me outside of pain medicine. He basically said I would have to wait it out. But there was no waiting this out. I needed relief. So I explored my other options and by the next day I was on my way to my first chiropractic appointment.
During my research I read how getting chiropractic treatment sooner than later could help prevent chronic neck pain due to the whiplash. By treating the neck early on in the injury I could be saving myself a life time of pain down the road.
When I saw my chiropractor he initially focused on getting rid of my current pain. This would make it possible for me to live my normal life without being in extreme agony. Once my pain was stabilized my chiropractor began to help restore my range of motion. After my accident I could barely turn my head to the right or to the left, making it almost impossible to drive. My chiropractor recommended I come see him twice a week along with doing certain exercises he recommended on my own time. Both these treatments helped me with the healing process. This two-pronged strategy caused me to experience results almost immediately. The best part is that chiropractic is all natural, requires no pain medication, and actually healed my injury, not just masked it.
If you’re suffering from whiplash and need pain relief, but also want to prevent long tern neck pain, chiropractic might be worth checking out. It gave my neck the release it needed from my car accident injury.
