In addition to the techniques and education gained from Palmer, Dr. Pernsteiner has taken additional courses in the areas of athletic injury serving on Sports Council at Palmer, extremity adjusting, and is proficient in numerous different techniques.     I bought the monthly subscription for my brother when he hurt his back. When we set it up we told them that it would be for him for a month and then I would probably switch it to me. I paid $81 per month for May and June. There were no visits made in June. On the 15th I went in to switch it to me and they would not allow it. I canceled the subscription. And then tried to pay for a visit for myself. It was 1:20. They take a lunch at 2:00 so although there were no clients in the room, and the paperwork takes 10 minutes, they would not get me in. One star for a business who claims they want to alleviate pain. ?

    Please read if intending on going here. I’ve been going to chiropractors for a decade now and safe to say, this is probably the worst adjustment I’ve ever gotten. This was my first and last appointment here. Filling out paperwork took a long time but that wasn’t the bad part. It was the adjustment. She started by basically just stretching my back to “pop” it. When I told her I have multiple ribs out that come out often she told me that everything looks to be fine. When I’m aware of my body and how I’ve had the same ribs come out for a year plus. The way she adjusted my neck was terrible. It hurt so bad and she didn’t even adjust it all the way. I ended up leaving feeling 10 times worse than when I got there. THEN she says we are all don’t after not even fully adjusting me. I asked her if she was not doing the rest of my body (mainly talking about my lower back) and she said that we are going to have to pass on that due to the line of people waiting for an adjustment. Sooo basically, even if you’re paying for a full adjustment, they won’t finish if there are other people waiting for one. What a rip off. I’m so disappointed.

    I showed up a bit late and the doctor working reception was really kind and gentle about it. The doctor who worked on me described everything he was doing before it happened and was really kind and gentle with my boundaries. I was initially put off about being adjusted in front of an "audience." FYI... this office accepts walk-ins and they sit, wait, and observe your adjustment; however, you can request a private room to share sensitive information. Having others in the room actually made me feel more comfortable with being treated by a doctor of the opposite gender. I'm from out of town and got in really quickly as a new patient. I'm going to see them again before I leave and will visit them each time I come to town, when needed. I grew up with a chiropractor as a father, so I'm very picky about my chiropractic care. I would recommend them to anyone. This was a super positive experience for me!

    I saw Dr gray for a quite a few years (he has a good review from me too) however he has recently retired which meant I needed to find another chiropractor. These guys at the joint are great! First visit and I'm feeling better than I have in a good while! I'm highly impressed. Definitely one of the most affordable chiropractors in Missoula and they do just as good as gray IMO, which is saying A LOT. I went with their monthly plan which will be cheaper for me in the long run too. I don't regret seeing gray, but pricing wise.. These guys are so much more affordable! The staff is also very friendly. I'd rate 6 stars if I could.

    No adjustment for two weeks. Decided to go here instead of waiting until Monday, 25 March 2025. Went here for an additional and set me backwards in rehabilitation I am now having gripping problems for the first time in 7 months. Expressed about the painful tendon from neck into shoulder. Her twisting my neck as extensive as she did has caused a setback. She adjusted into the tendon, the exact one I said was inflamed. That is a big fat NO in chiropractic medicine; NEVER EVER try to adjust through a tendon, especially this one! The twisting is different than a deep adjustment into the C-1 and into the clavicle. This was like someone twisting your arm until you say mercy. Pain is going down my left arm for the first time in a few weeks. My left arm is now in a slight curling position again for the first time in a month. Expressed to not to use drop table options. She did not. Expressed that a lot of pressure would be needed to get a thorough adjustment. She ask, so only your lumbar, I said no. She checked my sacrum & iliopsoas area/iliosacral joint. She went through the actions and acted as if the area moved. It did not. She did the same with my back. She commented in a way she expected me to agree there was move. I did not agree with an I did not feel movement. I expressed the areas of my neck needed to be adjusted. She applied pressure on the occipital area twice. Between each she turned my neck really far in one direction and attempted to adjust. Same with the other side, which adjusted as much as a brand new newborn could latch on a nipple. She acted as if she got really good adjustment in my neck. Then she asked me how was the adjustment. I replied horrible. She did not check my shoulders, nor wrists, nor ankles, etc. $55 down the drain. Go to Big Mountain Chiropractic and learn the difference between a real adjustment and a play. I have been going there for nearly a year now almost every week. He is the reason I am 90% pain free. This adjustment. I am a certified and formerly licensed therapeutic massage therapist. Trained to adjust by a female licensed chiropractor in the early to mid 1990’s for over 4 years. Sunday morning, after awakening, I had to lay for three hours before I could move my left arm. There was severe tingling into my first two fingers and thumb. She is the second worst chiropractor that worked on me at the chain, the first was in Chattanooga TN. That female could not even adjust a dislocated rib. The ones in Venice, FL were outstanding. They were significant contributors to mobility and the very beginning of progressive reversal of severe chronic pain, inflammation and immobility. Three bad chiropractors in 30+ years.

    Dr Mazur was amazing. He is an expert at his job. I had been quite hurt ,couldn't even use my right arm, on Friday. Ice it he said, not heat ! By Monday after another visit. I felt whole again.     I had a bulging disc when I began going to The Joint Chiropractic. I was in extreme pain all the time. Some days it was very difficult to walk. Dr. Mazur was able to greatly reduce my pain with only a few visits. I used to take three different prescription painkillers just to get through each day. Now, I only take one and it's only once a day instead of three times a day. It's very convenient to go there. You don't need an appointment. You just show up during business hours, except their lunchtime, and check in. It's first come first served. There's usually two Doctors there, so they get you in and out quickly, except for the first visit due to new patient paperwork, but even then it's fairly quick. The prices are very affordable. They even offer multi-visit packages which save you even more money. Some people may not like that they don't deal with insurance companies, but that's part of the reason their prices are so low. Check them out if this sounds appealing to you. I very thankful for the team at The Joint Chiropractic. They have really improved my quality of life. Sincerely, Ronald Kromrey.

    I updated my review after receiving an email and refund from Bethany. (I was ill or would have done so immediately). She sent me an email the next day thanking me for a 2 star review with the refund very quickly processing. I will attempt another try there because she has been on top of it and seems sincere. Thank you Bethany. After scheduling an appointment online, I showed up early. I was told there was no appointment for me and it would be an extremely long wait. 45 minutes after I left, I started receiving text messages that they found my appointment and it was a computer glitch. They asked me to come back in for a free visit because of the mistake. I was unable to return same day. 2 days later I received a call from the owner, who was the second person to tell me to come back for a free visit because of the mistake. So I did. I did the paperwork and saw the doctor who was gentle but firm with my neck. And then was told to pay $29 to walk out the door. So after being told by 2 separate people my visit was on the house because of their mistake, I was still charged. At this point I'll continue searching for a place for chiropractic care. Seems pretty obvious I can't trust their administrative staff.

    Been going to The Joint Chiropractic for a few months now for both sports injuries and general maintenance. Love it and highly recommend it to others. The doctors are knowledgeable and personable, and what they do helps. The entire business appears to be doing everything right. No appointments needed and, surprisingly, it simply works - I've never had to wait more than a couple of minutes (I usually go once every week or two). They don't take any insurance, the prices are low, the appointments are short but the end result is the same as with my prior traditional chiropractors. If they keep doing what they are doing today - I'll be a customer for many years.

    This place is an absolute scam of a chiropractor! I have been getting charged unknowingly for over a year when I had already cancelled my membership they continued charging me. I saw no improvement after months & they completely reamed me of over a $1000 for nothing. They did not work with me in getting any sort of a refund & their new front desk was completely rude & not helpful in figuring out the situation. I will be contacting corporate & whoever I need to get my money back. Any good business would reach out to someone who’s getting charged for over a year without visiting once but they clearly don’t care about their clients at all.

    If I could give zero stars, I would. I spent more time filling out paperwork, than being adjusted. The "doctor" asked what my problem areas were, lightly pressed on my neck and back, and didnt even adjust what I came in for. I went back out to my vehicle and got more relief cracking my own back than what they gave me in the building. Hell, Ive gotten massages that popped me more than this worthless place did! I personally do not recommend this place unless you want to waste your money.

    After being in pain for months. The community clinic suggested the ER as I was in a working in a different city then I lived. My husband suggested a chiropractic visit. The back pain was a 10 out of 10. By the time I left back pain that I had was already down to a 6 and the headache that I'd had for months was gone. I walked out upright and without the limp. I know it's science but it felt like magic. Even better is the have an office where I live and where I'm working out state. The pain is down to a 1 and move so much better. I thought it was the obesity that was stopping the ability to get up and down but that was not it. Thanks to all of the chiropractors that have help me get my life back and not cost me a fortune.

    Steve Mazur is the best. Cares about his patients and explains clearly what he is doing. It would be nice to get another doc in more often to help with the heavy work load. Sometimes wait times can be long. But Dr. Mazur is well worth the wait.

    Shout out to Dr Mazur. My first appointment with Steve was so good that he helped me with my tight back & so I purchased the annual program. I thought it would be easy to just drop in but due to staffing issues I don't think the walk-in idea is a good one. I was worried I wouldn't be able to use all of my sessions in 1 year so I emailed the owner and she was kind enough to accommodate me. I am giving this company 5 stars as they are trying their best to bring in new staff to ensure that their clients are seen. I was also insured that the office hours would be updated on Google so that one can check their hours (or any closures) on any given day. I also didn't realize they had a FB & IG account which I will now follow. Thanks for having this business in Missoula. I hope you expand to Hamilton!!!

    I've been going here periodically for several months. I was really happy starting out, but that has declined. The doctors are all great, but the front staff has gotten very pushy about coming in often. The first doctor I saw recommended coming in "as needed." But now, they incessantly suggest that I come in several times a month, every week or twice a week. This is just not needed for myself. I'll be looking for a new office after this last visit.

    From day one I have been super impressed with The Joint Chiropractic. In short, I have a lot of injuries and a connective tissue disorder that causes pain and discomfort all the time. From day one, Dr. Em has been very kind, knowledgeable (especially shocked on how knowledgeable she was on my condition that most of my other doctors barely know anything about) and caring. Dr. Em took her time going over my paperwork, speaking with me and adjusting me fully. I say fully because chiropractors that I have been to before usually adjust one or two things and send you on your way…but definitely not Dr. Em. She takes her time with every patient and truly cares about each of her patients well being. She has been overall amazing and a true blessing!     Dr. Emily is the Best! You need to put a statue of her in front. I went to another chiropractor before, supposedly “Missoula Best”, and it was a bad experience. Emily is Missoula’s Best chiropractor by far and I love I can just walk in too!

    I’ve been going to the joint for a few years now. I love the convenience of it. Multiple locations across the nation and no appointment needed. But I love coming to see Dr. Emily at Missoula’s new location. She is always a pleasure and absolutely knows her stuff. It’s also an added bonus she specializes in pre-natal care and I’m currently pregnant; though, I will continue to see “just her” once I deliver. :)

    Emily is a rockstar. I walked in and my neck was so locked up, I could barely drive on turn my head. They got me in immediately and made me feel welcomed. They went above and beyond to make sure I was truly cared for and able to get back on track. She explained my condition in detail and created a treatment plan right there for me.     Traveling for work has taken a toll on my body. Luckliy the wife and I found The Joint. Dr. Emily is amazing as well as the rest of the staff. They go the distance in making sure you are comfortable during your visit and the check in system makes their treatment plan great for someone on the go that doesnt have time to make weekly appointments. Highly recommend!

    I went earlier this week on a day I was getting off work (around 5pm). The wait wasn't too long, which I didn't mind because I had new patient paperwork to fill out. Dr. Em was amazing and listened to my concerns about severe lower back pain that can be debilitating some days. The adjustment to my back and even the massage to my tricky neck helped me feel so much better the next day. This was the first time I've had a chiro listen to how bad adjusting my back can feel. The attentiveness and even he saying to let her know if it hurts and she will stop was amazing. Thank you for helping me!

    This is a business that cares about every person that walks in and does their best to treat everyone with a unique experience that makes you feel comfortable and they also make families feels like they matter. I took my family there and it was May so simple to fill out the paperwork and be able to get seen on top of which Dr. M was very gentle and great at explaining what was happening and what she was going to do to help correct it and explained every step of the process. Which in todays age is hard to find a chiropractor that puts that much effort and makes its fun and also educational so you are aware of what they are doing but also puts a new meaning to to a doctors table side and what I mean is that from checking in to getting seen you can feel how much they care for each person and to them it’s not just another patient to them it’s a person that matters I recommend going to this chiropractor because it’s not just another office it’s a place that you feel valued and appreciated from start to finish
