Meet The Doctors
Dr. Jeff Keysar, D.C. is a 1998 magna cum laude graduate of Life Chiropractic College West in Hayward, California. He grew up in Tonopah, Nevada (population 2,500), graduating third in his class and completed his undergraduate work at the University of Nevada, Reno. He also received the Honors Intern award as well as the Excellence In Care award during his chiropractic outpatient residency.
After graduation, Dr. Keysar worked with Dr. Deed Harrison, a nationally renowned chiropractic researcher and practicing chiropractor. Dr. Keysar assisted Dr. Harrison in data collection for a spinal study that was published in the European Spine Journal in 2001.
Dr. Keysar has practiced in Arizona and Nevada, and has treated babies just days old to seniors 95 years young. His practice career has also included treating professional athletes, endurance athletes and Las Vegas Strip performers, as well as families of every size. Dr. Keysar’s wide range of experience and chiropractic knowledge ensures every patient receives the exact type and kind of treatment needed to ensure a fast recovery and a smooth road to future wellness. “I’m thrilled to be a Joint chiropractor! Every patient I see has a life full of wants, needs, and desires, from spending time with their kids to being a high performer at work. It is my job everyday to ensure that chiropractic care helps them get to where they want to be and stay there, and the only way I can do that is by listening carefully, answering questions, and developing a plan for care that gives my patients what they need. Dr. Daniel Cocks, D.C. is pleased to introduce himself as the Clinic Director of The Joint at Pebble Marketplace. He is a longtime resident of Southern Nevada having grown up in Boulder City, NV. His father was a practicing chiropractor in town and Daniel went on to graduate with a doctorate from Parker Chiropractic College in Dallas, TX in 2007. He’s found great pleasure in serving the local southern Nevada community.
Daniel is an advocate for a healthy and active lifestyle. Practicing what he preaches, it’s typical that he’ll trail run 50+ miles with his wife per week. Ask him about any local trail… almost guaranteed he’ll have plenty of recommendations. Daniel also has over a year of experience on a plant-based diet. If he’s not at work or on the trails he’s at home with his wife, 3 beautiful children and 2 silly dogs… probably playing the guitar.
Dr. Melissa VanCleave is a 2002 Southern California University of Health Sciences graduate fluent in Spanish. Dr. VanCleave is passionate about promoting health and wellness both in her professional practice and personal life. An avid reader, she consistently reads 75-100 books a year, which keeps her engaged with new ideas and perspectives. She is also an active supporter of her daughter’s writing career, serving as an editor for over 20 published romance novels. When she's not working with patients, Dr. VanCleave enjoys spending quality time with her three children and two grandchildren. Her family includes a son who serves as a Nuclear Engineer in the U.S. Navy, and two daughters—one of whom is 33 and the other 16. Dr. VanCleave also has a passion for travel, recently enjoying her first cruise, and often accompanies her youngest daughter on fashion modeling trips. Though her schedule is busy, she also enjoys a variety of crafts in her downtime.
Dr. VanCleave knew from a young age that she wanted to be a doctor, although she wasn’t initially certain which path to pursue. She initially considered Obstetrics and Gynecology, but as she delved deeper into the medical field, she became increasingly disillusioned by the heavy reliance on medications and surgeries. Her perspective changed when she met a chiropractor about a year before she was set to attend medical school. Dr. VanCleave began working as a front desk assistant, and soon became captivated by the holistic, non-invasive approach of chiropractic care. Her mentor introduced her to the role of a chiropractic assistant, providing Dr. VanCleave with a head start on her chiropractic education. To further explore her options, Dr. VanCleave worked as a medical assistant in a busy OB/GYN clinic. The experience solidified her decision to pursue chiropractic care. The demanding lifestyle of the OB/GYN physician and the focus on medication and surgery contrasted sharply with the balanced, patient-centered approach she witnessed in chiropractic care. This pivotal experience led Dr. VanCleave to dedicate her life to understanding the human body and mind and to helping others achieve optimal wellness through a holistic approach.
Today, she is passionate about empowering her patients to lead healthy, vibrant lives by supporting their body’s natural healing processes. Dr. VanCleave has been a chiropractor for over 23 years. She utilizes full spine diversified adjusting, extremity adjusting, as well as Activator, and drop technique.
