Range of Motion and Chiropractic Care
By Randi Morse
The human brain is an interesting thing. Don't believe me? Head into your local grocery store and start shopping. When you begin your shopping trip, pay special attention to the music that is playing, then just go about your normal shopping business. After your trip is over, try to list all of the songs that played on the radio while you were shopping. The average person simply can't. Our brains are designed to focus on certain things and to block out others. If we took in all of the stimulus and information we received minute-by-minute it would likely drive us a little bit insane.
Let's connect that information to our body. Since the brain is designed to filter out and ignore certain information, it is not uncommon for your body to not be working at its fullest potential. Your range of motion, for example, could be compromised and you might not even realize it.
Range of Motion
What, exactly, is range of motion? Range of motion is the term that is used to describe the mobility of the joints in your body. In general, the younger we are, the better our range of motion is, and that has everything to do with our joints and the tendons and muscles connected to them. As we get older our range of motion decreases, but you should still be able to have a certain degree of flexibility and motion. If your range of motion is impacted or impeded in any way, your body is not working at its fullest potential.
Chiropractors and Range of Motion
A visit to The Joint Chiropractic can help you to learn if you have as much range of motion as you should. Chiropractors are able to measure and observe in order to determine if you are able to move the way you should or if there is some sort of joint restriction or other issue that is preventing you from getting the full range of motion that you should be getting.
With the different plans and packages available at The Joint Chiropractic, you'll be able to find the perfect setup to help you get back any range of motion that you might have lost. The Joint Chiropractic provides walk-in hours and affordable rates to make keeping your range of motion working perfectly as easy, and affordable, as possible.
