Eliminate Toxins With a Detox Bath
By Brandi Swieter
Toxins can cause serious harm to the body, causing illness, fatigue, and more. They get into the system through the foods we eat and the air we breathe. In order to eliminate these toxins and get the body feeling better overall, a detox bath is necessary. It will help to pull the harmful chemicals from the body and cause the person to sweat them out so they start feeling more like themselves and less bloated, sick, stuffy, and otherwise struggling.
Relieves Muscle Soreness
With the toxins drawn out from the tissues and muscles, muscle soreness becomes a thing of the past. A detox bath helps to relieve pain and discomfort that is caused by harmful substances within the body. It can leave a person feeling pain-free and refreshed.
Promotes Sleep
A better night’s rest can be achieved by taking a detox bath. All baths are said to help with rest, but a detox style option truly helps to calm the mind and body. The toxins causing pain or discomfort and making it hard to focus on sleep are removed so a person is better able to fall asleep when the time comes.
Helps Fight Illness
Those who tend to suffer from chronic colds or get the flu each season should try a detox bath. The bath is said to help fight illness since it works to pull the harmful substances from the body. With less harm being done, a person is less likely to experience symptoms of sickness, at least in a severe manner.
Eases Feelings of Tension and Stress
Stress and tension within the body often impact the mind as well. Those who feel stressed due to work, school, or life at home may want to take a detox bath to help eliminate these feelings. Easing the feelings of tension and stress is just one benefit of a detox bath. It promotes better mental health because it allows a person to relax and clear their mind. They simply soak in the tub for 20 minutes or more and focus only on their well-being rather than other problems.
A detox bath can help tremendously as long as people do it right. The water should be as hot as can be tolerated. One cup of epsom salts and another cup of baking soda is all that’s needed inside, except some people prefer to add a few drops of lavender essential oil for a true relaxing feeling. Drinking plenty of water before and after the soak will also help to eliminate the most toxins and keep the body hydrated. Give it a try for a healthy feeling.
