Andrew was able to get allot of movement, As I am difficult to adjust at times. He used some techniques that were new to me that were really effective. My partner recommended me to come here because my neck, shoulders, back, right hip, hands, and arms were sore, stiff, and tense. Since getting adjustments, my body and I feel fantastic. i also get migraines, headaches and dizziness, nausea. Do not bother going if you have an immediate need. I somehow tweaked my lower back. The pain was mild initially, but grew significantly throughout the day. I went to the Gastonia location just before 6 pm and they were packed! They close at 7 pm, so I was disappointed when they could not fit me in, but I completely understood. I went home and registered, so I thought, online for the Mountain Island location at 9510 Riverbend Village Drive. The next day, Dr. Mike Stephens was there and greeted me. He asked if I had an appointment, of which I did not. I told him of my issue, I also told him of the meds I was currently on to mitigate the majority of the pain I was still in. I'm in so much pain that it hurt to drive in. Dr. Stephens turned me away. Not because he was overly busy and short on time like the previous location. From what I could see, we were the only ones there. No, his reason was because he was not accepting new patients and that he did not know how to work his system. He claims his assistant called out, then begins to try to sway me to drive to another location, even though I had just told him how painful it was for me to get to him. I left with no proper resolve for the swelling pain I am still in. As I was writing this review, I witnessed two others (a couple) enter the establishment. They too came out shortly after. What is the point of opening your doors if not to provide the service advertised. And as if that was not bad enough, when I came back to ask his name (he did not give it initially), he spoke with condescension asking if there was anything he could do to make me less angry. Not once did I act in anger. My tone never changed. I am always mindful and respectful to all. I left peacefully and even said thank you. It was very clear in how I moved I was in pain. So, my response was "not angry, just disappointed and still in pain, and there is nothing he could do short of giving the assistance I came for, but that I could leave a review about it". Guess I dodged a bullet because if he is a doctor and cannot tell the difference between anger and pain/disappointment, then maybe he should not be so close to my spine. Just a thought.

The front desk lady, Cindy, was so nice and calmed me since I'd never been to a chiropractor before and was still on the fence. I was recommended to The Joint located in Riverbend Village by my daughter-in-law. BEST MOVE I'VE MADE IN A WHILE. When I arrived, the staff was so courteous and knowledgeable about what I needed and were of mindful of the pain I was in. I was directed immediately to Dr. Thomas who dug further into my concerns. After the initial consultation, we agreed on a plan. Then the plan was immediately implemented. No "come back in three days and we'll start working with you." After the initial visit, I could feel a huge difference in my pain an after two visits I was back to walking straight with very little pain. Today, one month later I am pain free and ready to go to a step-down maintenance program. I truly appreciate how it seemed as though they were more concerned with my health than with how much money they were bringing in. As a plus, I am Extremely satisfied with the location and ease of just being able to walk in. I have never waited more than 10 minutes to be seen unlike going to a family chiropractor with an appointment and waiting 20 + minutes (WITH AN APPOINTMENT)!

Dr. Thomas was able to relieve my pain tremendously after just my first visit. My arms would ache when sleeping and at times would wake me up they hurt so bad. Numbness. Cold. Hot. Aching. Multiple symptoms. Most of my problem was when sleeping. Dr. Thomas took the time to not only listen but he also asked questions. He said at my first visit, “I think you’ve got thoracic outlet syndrome.” Bingo! I told him I had been diagnosed with that years ago! How did he know I was being aggravated with it again!? He really listened to all I told him was going on. How I slept. What my work involves. When my symptoms occur. And what my symptoms were. He went to work right away and recommended a treatment plan. He is truly concerned about his patients and their wellness. I am pain free and didn’t even have to change my pillow! I’m so thankful I went with my husband the day he went there.
Not only do the adjustments make you feel better, but also Gabrielle is so cheerful and positive you feel better just walking in the front door :-).

I barely walked in with tears in my eyes, my sciatic pain was so bad. Gabrielle greeted me with her beautiful smile & caring demeanor. I have been to a family chiropractor for years on an as needed basis but for headaches not sciatic pain. Dr Thomas is amazing, he not only helped me walk without pain but he truly cares about his patients! I recommend them to everyone and my daughter who is pregnant is also now getting relief as well! This place is amazing! I had such excruciating pain in my thigh and back stopped in as a walk in and Gabriella was so sweet and very professional! Set me and my partner Rich up emmediatly to see Dr. Mason who was wonderful my pain is much more manageable and he hit all the right spots! I will definitely be seeing him at least 3x a week and Rich was extremely pleased as well!! Also very affordable!! Clean, efficient and very welcoming! Definitely 5 stars!!!

Went to work at Walmart sitting in parking lots for about 10minutes and I decided to call out because I was very fatigue so I drove off went across the street to joint chiropractic Dr. Coleman Pannell crack my back in place felt alot better and went back to Walmart and clock ???????? I suffered permanent injuries from a car accident 13 years ago, which started my exploration into chiropractic treatment. As helpful as the treatment was, the location was not convenient & often there was a long wait, even though I had an appointment. When the Riverbend location of The Joint opened within walking distance from my house, I decided to give it a try. The staff is professional, knowledgeable & friendly. The wait time is very reasonable, and I don't even have to make an appointment, so I can fit it in on the day and time that works for me! I appreciate that the Doctor listens to my concerns, and addresses those areas along with the full adjustment. I have been helped with my chronic shoulder and back pain, and they even gave me some real relief when I had a sinus infection and congestion. The rates are great, and the hours are convenient. I have already recommended a friend and they joined as well. I am so grateful for your model of care which focuses on the person not the insurance companies. I have needed extended care for years but have been limited by cost and/or benefits. This membership was a gift to myself. The day I joined at the beginning of Dec 2019. I had - had a combination migraine/tension headache for the 21 days. After 4 adjustments in 7 days it was gone and I have not had a headache lasting more than 2 days. So I Started working out this week and noticed that my left knee was swelling, but I didn't have any pain so I didn't think it was serious.
I came in on Saturday and asked Dr. Pannell if it was serious and if he could do anything about it? After checking, it wasn't my ACL or something serious, he showed me an exercise and the swelling went down instantly. I love natural ways of getting better. Thank You Doc!

Just at the point of preparing to begin again with physical fitness, I noticed unusual pains in my neck and shoulder. After applying massage oils and ice treatments, for temporary relief at best, a good friend recommended I visit the new Joint location, for longer lasting relief since we were familiar with good results through chiropractic care. Overwhelmed by the friendly greetings, introductions, warm atmosphere, free consultation/treatment on the spot and affordable pricing, I became a member.
The Doctor listened, then decided on the adjustment needed to begin realignment. At the time, those area were so inflamed and very sensitive to the touch. Thanks to Dr. Pannell's application of certain techniques, within three weeks the pain and inflammation has been reduced considerably.
As if that weren't enough, my first visit to THE JOINT came just in time to participate in the Grand Openings raffles, I am now the proud WINNER of a 27.5" Mountain Bike. Three CHEERS to Michael and the entire team!
