Dr. Carter Egly D.C.; a Chiropractic physician in Holly Springs, North Carolina. He obtained his B.S. degree in Exercise Science at Florida State University and his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the prestigious Palmer College of Chiropractic, Florida Campus. Dr. Egly is also a member of the American Chiropractic Association and North Carolina Chiropractic Association.
Dr. Egly employs a wide variety of adjusting techniques based on individual needs which include the Palmer Package, Diversified, Gonstead, Thompson, and Instrument Adjusting.
Dr. Egly's first experience with chiropractic was when his father was in a car accident that left him with sever low back pain that chiropractic care helped to eliminate. After seing his father's amazing recovery, Dr. Egly's goal is to help people live their lives without pain.
In his free time Dr. Egly enjoys walking nature trails and amusement parks. His hobbies include martial arts (2nd degree black belt) and custom building computers. He is also planning on adopting a dog in the near future!

Dr. Owen is a graduate of New York Chiropractic College. He grew up in New York in the Hudson Valley and recently moved his family down to Apex, North Carolina. His interest in the field began in his early teens after receiving chiropractic treatment for several different sports injuries. "I was pleasantly surprised to see the level of care and personal focus I received when I went to a chiropractor for treatment." After completing his undergraduate work at Dutchess Community College and Marist College, he was admitted to NYCC in January 2014. He graduated in April 2017 after completing his clinic rotations in Levittown, Long Island. Following graduation, Dr. Owen returned to Dutchess county where he began building a practice while splitting his time working in a busy family practice in Westchester. In June of 2018 he made the difficult decision to move his family down south to North Carolina. Dr. Owen is proficient in a variety of chiropractic techniques including: Diversified, Thompson, Gonstead, Flexion and Distraction, Active muscle release, ConnecTX soft tissue mobilization and SOT. He looks forward to using these skills to provide quality chiropractic care to the patients of Wake County.
Dr. Houston Smith was born and raised in Dallas, TX. Dr. Smith is a 2021 graduate of Parker University. Born on the same day as DD Palmer, the founder of chiropractic, Dr. Smith was destined to be a chiropractor. His favorite part about being a chiropractor is giving life changing care to a first time chiropractic patient who has failed other conservative care options. Dr. Smith is a very skilled adjuster specializing in diversified and motion palpation techniques. He and his wife Elena live in Cary with their border collie mix, Gypsy. In his past time he enjoys training, golf, disc golf, hiking, and outdoor activities.

Dr. Nick Gardner joined The Joint Chiropractic in 2022 and is excited to be a part of the team here as of October 2023 in our Apex, Holly Springs, and Garner office. Dr. Nick graduated from New York Chiropractic College in 2017.
He is originally from North of Toronto, Canada on the Eastern Georgian Bay and loves movies and staying active in the gym, disc golf, or going for walks.
He came to chiropractic after he was working in a suspension factory and his back was failing him during long shifts on hard concrete. He sought a chiropractor for help. The doctor merely suggested to him to look into becoming a chiropractor. He went back to school to get pre-requisites and was enrolled in chiropractic college the next year.
Dr. Nick is looking forward to routinely helping people day in and out as well as being able to help completely change someone’s entire world.

5 5 15/24/2024 update: I have been seeing Dr Andy Owen in 2024 and again an excellent experience at this location. He never rushes through treatment sessions and is always extremely helpful with questions I have. Trudy at the front desk is the best, always smiling and a pleasure to speak with. Everyone at this location is top notch, I highly recommend!? Previous 2023 update: The Joint in Holly Springs is fantastic! I have been going there 3 months for back and headache issues. I was initially seen by Dr TC who was excellent and now mostly treated by Dr Devan. Trudy at the front desk is always very pleasant and helpful. A week ago I injured my rib and went to Dr Devan yesterday who thoroughly checked my injury out and explained the issue in detail. He suggested I have an x-ray done to rule out a fractured rib. He wrote a script and I had an x-ray done this morning. This saved me having to go through my primary doctor and pay a copay. Still waiting on results however I can't think Dr Devan and Trudy enough for all their assistance and for truly being concerned about the patient. They went above and beyond! I will definitely be going back soon again after I recover. I highly recommend The Joint, best chiropractic facility I've ever been to! ?

5 5 1I was a little nervous at signing the initial waver because my neck is the area I needed cracked. Even though I was uncertain, I am certain now the doctor that cracked my neck is trustworthy. I haven’t had full range of motion in my neck but this helped a lot and I left with a big smile on my face. They got me in and out quickly which was nice too. I definitely recommend them and I would go here before I have my neck twisted by someone else that I’m not sure would have the experience this doctor did. You don’t really want to take a risk with something like that. Highly recommend!

1 5 1I bought a coupon from groupon for my husband thinking i'd surprise him because i've had a physical therapist align my joints like a chiropractor, including my neck back home in the Philippines, i wanted him to experience the magic too. But one day our teenage daughter woke up crying, complaining she can't move her head, that her neck was in excruciating pain, i immediately thought: oh the coupon!! Let's use it i'm sure they can help!! Ignorant as i was, i forgot no doctor is able to help as long as you're still feeling the pain. They never did anything except ask us how she got injured and throwing suspicions at us that we caused it because the reason wasn't enough. What? An hour or two later we had cops visiting our home. That was not cool i know youre looking out for people who might be abused but you made our entire family afraid of visiting you guys ever again because apparently we get reported to the cops for finding ways to help alleviate our daughter's sudden neck pain. And to think we just migrated from the philippines. We paid for the coupon but it turned out we were just throwing away money. Im sure you guys are good at what you do but that was just not okay.

I had a lot of pain & bruising along my spine from something he did. I’ve seen him twice now & I haven’t been impressed. He doesn’t take the time to listen to the problems. 5 5 1This place is amazing! I’ve been searching for a good chiropractor office for years. Once I moved to the area , a friend of mine highly recommended this place. The costs are extremely reasonable and there are options to pick what best aligns with what you’re looking for. I love the ease from the minute you walk in to the door until you leave. Signing in is easy, the front receptionists are super friendly and helpful. It’s great that it’s walk in only, makes it much easier to fit into my schedule. At first I thought maybe it’d be like a drive they quick and sometimes rushed. I NEVER feel rushed during my appt and the doctors do a great job of documenting and ensuring they’re taking the right approach to your adjustment and they make tweaks bade on how you feel and progress. All of the doctors there take pride in how you feel and how they can help you feel better and sustain that feeling. The front and back area are super clean and spread out. They’ve taken COVID precautions seriously. I’ve gone through a year of ER visits and spine injections and the progress wasn’t enough for me to get back into my daily routine and be able to exercise and be on my feet for long periods of time. After a month and a half, I feel amazing and my only regret is that I didn’t sign up sooner.

5 5 1I sprained my ankle twice about 4 years ago. The second time it happened my entire foot was swollen and full of liquid. Anytime I would walk on it my foot would swell up and hurt really bad. 5 5 1I have lived in pain for over 20+ yrs. I have suffered from neck, shoulder, mid & lower back pain as a result of an accident as a teenager and other life complications. I also worked on my feet for 20+ yrs. Before coming to The Joint Chiropractic in Holly Springs the first ever adjustment in my life, I had not slept for 3 weeks due to the pain in my mid and lower back. I decided to finally do something about it and had received a recommendation about Chiropractic care and decided to finally try it. I was very, very scared and nervous about getting adjusted, and just about Chiropractic care in general as I had never been treated in this realm of medical care before. The Joint's Doctors in Holly Springs were so kind, patient and understanding, and explained in detail what they were going to do to help me with my pain, what to expect as they did each segment of my first adjustment. They did everything they could to make me feel at ease with the whole process. After my 1st adjustment with Dr. Matt, I slept for 8 hours straight that night!!! I followed the treatment plan that Doctor Matt established and followed up with Doctor Carter and slept for 10 hours after my 2nd adjustment!!! I cannot describe how happy I am with these results!!! The Doctors at The Joint are just wonderful--I would recommend The Joint to anyone who has been or is suffering and looking for relief for their pain!!!

5 5 1We took our infant to a chiropractor at the recommendation of a dentist and some friends who also have their children and infants seen by a chiropractor. My infant was struggling to get a good latch for nursing. While she has a lip tie, she did not have a tongue tie and the dentist suggested looking at doing some bodywork. We saw Dr V who explained exactly how she "adjusts" infant patients and it's not at all like an adult. It is very gentle. To be honest, I was skeptical that this would help! The bodywork done by Dr V has helped tremendously how my daughter nurses and the overall disposition of my infant daughter. She is less gassy, happier, slept better and is able to get into better position for nursing. Overall, the experience at the Joint in Apex and HS with Dr V has been amazing.
