Matt Myschisin II D.C. is a Chiropractic physician in Apex, North Carolina. He obtained his Bachelor's degree in Biology at Allegheny College in 2012 and his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic, Florida Campus in December 2015.
Dr. Matt employs many different adjusting techniques based on individual needs which include the Palmer Package, Diversified, Gonstead, Thompson, and Instrument Adjusting.
Dr. Matt’s first experience with chiropractic was in high school through friends and family who had regularly seen Chiropractors. After seeing them get better without having to take medication he decided to also go and see one. After his first adjustment he had the stiffness that he had been experiencing from football and hockey disappear almost overnight. From then on he wanted to be the one to do that for other people.
In his free time Dr. Matt enjoys reading at home or catching up on the latest recommendations of shows from his friends. He also participates in Krav Maga and is getting ready to test for his 2nd advanced placement test.
Dr. Ed is from Johnstown, PA. He earned a Bachelor of Science from Excelsior University in Albany, NY in 1997 and a Chiropractic Doctorate from Sherman College in Spartanburg, SC in 2001. In 2012, Dr. Ed took a much-needed reprieve from the chiropractic profession and earned his Juris Doctorate from John Marshall Law School in Atlanta, GA in 2015. From 2015 to present, Dr. Ed worked as a contract investigator for the federal government. Missing full-time patient care and spending most of his days at a laptop computer, Dr. Ed decided to return to the profession he loves. Refreshed, Dr. Ed is again delivering evidence-based chiropractic care on a full-time basis.

Dr. Hart joined The Joint team in 2021, and she currently works at the Apex, Holly Springs, and Garner locations. Dr. Hart was born and raised in Michigan, where she earned a BA in Biology at Northern Michigan University. Dr. Hart is a 2021 Sherman Chiropractic graduate. Her favorite thing about being in the chiropractic field is working with pediatric, pre/perinatal patients. Second to that is getting to see the difference in a patients everyday life due to the incorporation of Chiropractic. In her spare time, Dr Hart is an avid reader of fictional and educational books.
Dr. Hart had originally thought to go into sports medicine, but after shadowing her DC, and seeing patients from a 4 day old baby, to a 93 year old woman, she knew this was her calling. One of the things Dr Hart like best about working at these The Joint locations, she gets to see such a variety of aged patients.
One thing Dr Hart can’t live without in her fridge is coffee creamer. Four famous people that would be at her dinner party would be Post Malone, Selena Gomez, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Zendaya. The coolest thing Dr Hart believes she has ever done is go to Puerto Rico.
Dr. Marcia Lancaster became part of The Joint Chiropractic’s team of local healthcare providers in 2021 when she began serving residents in suburban Raleigh and Garner, where she continues doing the work she finds so rewarding.
“The best part of being a chiropractor is helping people who have tried everything else,” she says. “I love giving hope to the hopeless.”
Dr. Lancaster is pretty informal; her patients call her Sparky. By either name she’s a graduate of East Carolina with a degree in biology. She earned her doctorate at Life Chiropractic College in Marietta, Ga., and has worked from Atlanta to Albuquerque, N.M., as well as Wilmington, Concord, and Fayetteville.
“I grew up as a military brat,” she says. “I was born in Kansas and have lived in 17 different states.”
She enjoys gardening and goat yoga, and she has two miniature goats named Coco and Midnight.
There’s no question in her mind that she’s doing exactly what she is supposed to be doing. “I knew chiropractic was calling when I got my first patient out of a wheelchair,” she says. “My parents are in their 80s and they have been under chiropractic care for the past 30 years and it has preserved the quality of their lives today.”
In Case You Didn’t Know
Dr. Lancaster says the one thing she always keeps stocked in her refrigerator is unsweetened iced tea.
If she could bring together any four people from history for her ideal dinner party, she would include Winston Churchill, author CS Lewis, Mother Teresa, and Mahatma Gandhi. “They knew how to motivate and mobilize people to serve others,” she says.
One of the most interesting things she has done was spend the night at the top of Machu Picchu in Peru and see the Southern Cross.
My name is Devan Peebles and I grew up in a small village with a population of 600 located in Upstate New York where I attended South Lewis Central High School and graduated in the class of 2013.
I had prior exposure to chiropractic while in high school and I would go frequently to see the chiropractor. This peaked my interest of pursuing the field of Chiropractic so I had begun college at the State University of New York at Cortland where I would obtain my Bachelor of Science Degree in Kinesiology in the spring of 2016. Throughout college I was involved in a variety of research studies on campus dealing with exercise physiology and working with those with Parkinson’s disease. This is where I discovered I truly loved working with people aimed toward improving daily function and the challenge of achieving results in such patients.
While attending college I went on to play collegiate football where I suffered a low back injury in my sophomore year. This injury led to me seeing a variety of healthcare providers, one being a chiropractor in which I had great success with. This experience is what ultimately led me to pursuing the field of chiropractic.
After completing my bachelor’s degree, I attended Palmer College of Chiropractic West in San Jose, California. I was involved in a variety of clubs on campus ranging from sports council, pediatrics club, research and much more. I would go on to complete my Doctor of Chiropractic in the spring of 2021.
What I enjoy most about being in the chiropractic field is working with patients who are suffering from pain and aiding in the recovery process to bring out a patients full potential.
In my free time, I enjoy traveling, snowboarding, and spending time with my family. I have a 3 year old daughter who I enjoy spending all of my free time with. She is my little travel buddy, best friend and we take her on every adventure we go on.
I look forward to providing care to the community.
