The fall is near. The cool winds are slowly blowing in. The sweaters are starting to pop out of closets. And the fall decorations are showing up everywhere. It’s a great time of year! But when it comes to working out, it’s also a tough time of year. The motivation often wanes as the activities pick up. And the weather makes us want to eat something warm and get cozy on the couch. So how can we keep the motivation alive? Get a workout buddy. If you think the fall may be challenging to your workout routine, take a look at these reasons why you should consider a workout buddy through the season.
Because Fall is Super Busy
Fall is a really busy time of year. There is school, the holiday season, parties, sports, community get-togethers. There’s so much to do! And while this busy time of year is definitely fun, it’s also the perfect excuse to skip the workout. But having a buddy can help provide you with a little accountability. You won’t want to let them down, and they won’t want to let you down. You can lean on each other when it gets tough. Getting a workout buddy at this time of year may be all it takes to keep your hitting the gym and making progress.

Fall weather is beautiful! It’s not too hot, not too cold, and the colors pop everywhere. This makes it the perfect time to take your workout outdoors. Why do you need a buddy for this? You don’t necessarily … but it can make the workout easier and more exciting. Take a walk around the block with your friend. Join a friendly sports team. Getting outside with a friend or two can make the exercise more enjoyable throughout the entire season.

No matter where or when you decide to exercise, friends make it more fun. Friends keep it interesting. They give you someone to talk to. They give you someone to laugh with. They give you motivation.
