Meet The Doctors

Dr. Jeremy Broadhead, D.C. is a Chiropractor at Six Forks

Dr. Broadhead teamed up with the Joint at North Raleigh Six Forks in 2013, the second Joint clinic to open in North Carolina. After completing a Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science and a minor in French at Brigham Young University, he trained at Parker College of Chiropractic (now Parker University) in Dallas, Texas. Here Dr. Broadhead obtained his second bachelor's degree in Human Anatomy and his doctorate in Chiropractic. Dr. Broadhead has extensive experience in caring for spines of all ages and backgrounds, including athletes, children, and expecting mothers. "The greatest part of being a chiropractor is seeing hundreds of people feel better and function on a higher level every week." When he's not fixing spines, Dr. Broadhead enjoys hiking and playing table top games with friends and his wife Hayley (the doctor recommends games such as Castle Panic, Smash Up, Small World, and Pandemic Legacy) . They have two Shih-tzu fur babies, Gabby and Sophie. Dr. Broadhead chose to work at The Joint because he believes affordable chiropractic care should be a part of everyone's lifestyle. "The coolest thing I've ever done was explore France. And my favorite movie is "NeverEnding Story" (I always wanted to fly on a giant talking dog-like luck dragon)."

Dr. Rose Boyd, D.C. is a Chiropractor at Six Forks

Dr. Rose Boyd has been treating patients from age 0-80 for the past eight years. Watching her patients feel better quickly never gets old.  She is a graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic and holds the 2007 Clinical Excellence award.

She loves watching patients notice better health along their spine, but also in areas they didn’t expect chiropractic to help (migraines, digestive issues, sleep, sports performance).  Dr. Boyd interned under a pediatric and pregnancy chiropractor in Minneapolis Minnesota, and enjoys helping infants, kids and moms feel their best.

“I’m happy to be a part of a place that can offer great chiropractic adjustments at a price that is affordable so that more people can experience the benefits of consistent care- that’s what our model is all about,” said Dr. Boyd.

Outside The Joint, Dr. Boyd enjoys running, hiking, cooking, and spending time with her husband, John, and 11 month old son, Ryan.  She was a big fan of naps, before the baby.

Dr. Jennifer Al Ghuraibawi, D.C. is a Chiropractor at Six Forks

Dr. Jennifer Al Ghuraibawi has been with The Joint Chiropractic Six Forks since her decision to move to the warmer weather of Raleigh, North Carolina. Dr. Jen was born and raised in Chester, Vermont. She holds her Bachelor of Biology from Springfield College, and her Doctorate in Chiropractic from Palmer College of Chiropractic-West in San Jose, CA. Not only is she one of the best adjusters with almost 20 years of adjustments under her belt, Dr. Jen loves to teach others about the amazing healing properties of the body. Dr. Jen taught Anatomy and Physiology at SUNY Westchester in Valhalla, NY for 11 years. Dr. Jen has been privileged to practice in Manhattan, White Plains, NY and Orange, Connecticut prior to The Joint.

The most amazing thing about chiropractic for Dr. Jen is the ability to make a change in someone’s quality of life almost instantly, no matter how many years they have been in pain. Making sure someone’s nervous system is performing at its best is Dr. Jen’s top priority. She was introduced to chiropractic back in 1992 when she had visited a chiropractor who treated her for headaches. The treatments worked so well, Dr. Jen decided she was going to become a chiropractor to help others with headaches as well.

When Dr. Jen is not at the office she can be found carting around her two teenagers, trying to take back her makeup and heels from her four-year-old (who looks great in them), or traveling the United States for speaking events with her husband Moe.

Dr. George Tyler, D.C. is a Chiropractor at Six Forks

My chiropractor stopped the pain!

Growing up I had a condition of the knees called Osgood- Schlatter Disease. It is one of the most common causes of knee pain in children. I was active in sports, but the pain in my knees frustrated me and limited my participation. My parents took me to their medical doctors but none were able to stop the pain. Then my father took me to a chiropractor. After only a few adjustments, to my back and knees, the pain began to go away. I was both thankful and amazed. I can tell you from my experience both as a patient and a doctor… chiropractic works and it works well!

My chiropractic journey

That was my introduction to chiropractic and I knew then what I wanted to do with my life. After receiving my Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology from N.C. State University, I went on to earn my Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Life University in Atlanta . I choose to attend Life University because of the strong subluxation-based philosophy. The curriculum at Life University consisted of 2,887 hours of classroom study and 1,598 hours of clinical studies, including kinesiology, toxicology and spinal adjusting. So, while my education sharpened my expertise, my philosophy drives my passion.

In practice, I utilize a wide range of chiropractic techniques, muscular therapies and therapeutic exercise specifically tailored for each patient. This provides an integrated chiropractic approach to conservative care. My practice focuses on the entire family and offers the highest quality of chiropractic care to both children and adults. I find that holistic, conservative care is an extremely effective treatment for a wide variety of conditions. I am an excellent clinician, and a good listener. I hope to have the opportunity to meet you in person and discuss your specific health challenges.

On a personal note

I am blessed to have a lovely wife, Joselyn and three children, Jillian, George Jr. and Vanessa. When I am not spending time with my family, I enjoy listening to jazz, playing the saxophone and I am an avid football fan.

Jessica McDougald is a Wellness Coordinator at Six Forks

Jessica McDougald has been a Wellness Coordinator at The Joint North Raleigh Six Forks since January 2015. She’s currently a student of religion at Campbell University, set to graduate in December 2018. One of her favorite things about working at The Joint Six Forks is the opportunity she has to form relationships with our patients. She knows we have some of the best patients in North Carolina! When Jessica is not working or doing her schoolwork, she is caring for her two year old daughter Camille, her husband Matt, and their two dogs Noodle and Poptart. She loves to read fiction and poetry. One thing you can always find in Jessica’s fridge is seltzer water. If she were throwing a dinner party, she’d invite Albus Dumbledore, Jack Sparrow, Daenerys Targaryen, and Lucy Pevensie. The coolest thing she’s ever done is go on a safari at a Kenyan game reserve.
