Tired? Try Chiropractic
By Randi Morse
One thing I struggle with greatly is finding enough time in the day. Between working, college classes, caring for my home, and raising two teenagers, I've honestly wondered how important sleep truly is. The problem is that I will get 8 hours of sleep and will still feel absolutely exhausted. I always assumed that the reason I felt so tired is simply because I hadn't caught up on sleep I'd missed previously. But what if that isn't the case? What if there are other reasons why we are so tired during the day?
Batteries
It helps if you think of the energy in your body like a battery. Batteries, even rechargeable ones, don't have unlimited access to energy. Eventually the battery will run down and you will either have to charge it or get a new battery. This is similar to how our bodies work. There is only so much energy that our body has available for us to expand every day. Once your body runs out of that energy, you will need to refill it. This can happen in a variety of ways, some people take naps, others rely on caffeinated beverages, and some rely on eating snacks. Many people don't realize that a visit to the chiropractor may be the perfect solution to help fix that feeling of exhaustion.
Chiropractor and Energy
How do you know if your body is in pain? We often think we will know anytime our body is injured, but that's not necessarily true. There are times when an injury doesn't cause much pain, although those are rare. It is much more common for someone to be dealing with pain for so long that their body starts to ignore it. For lack of a better term, we get used to it. We get so used to the pain that we honestly forget it's there.
It may be possible that one reason you are losing energy is because of a joint restriction. Joint restrictions cause issues with nerve communication, sending mixed messages to your brain which can sap all of your energy.
A visit to The Joint Chiropractic is a great way to see if your lack of energy is due to a medical situation or if you truly just need to learn to sleep more. The Joint Chiropractic offers affordable rates and open office hours, making visiting a chiropractor convenient for everyone.
