Dr Peter Phillips is a native of upstate New York. He grew up in the village of Sackets Harbor. He attended Sackets Harbor H.S. and graduated in 1982. He spent the next 2 years at JCC acquiring a AS degree. He transferred to SUNY at Binghamton to complete the premed requirements necessary to enroll in Palmer College of Chiropractic. He graduated in 1987 with a Doctor of Chiropractic degree.

In 1988 Dr. Phillips began working as an associate doctor in Phillips Chiropractic Clinic, He became a partner in 1991. Dr Phillips was listed as an outstanding young man of America in 1987-90. Dr Phillips was named the Clark County Chiropractic Society’s Chiropractor of the year 1990-1992. He was president of the CCCA from 1991-1995. Dr. Phillips was the local Liaison for the WSCA from 1995-1997. Dr Phillips was a founding member (1989) and is a current member of the Association of Vancouver Business Professionals. Dr. Phillips was in the Kiwanis from 1990-1995. He served his church community as chair of the finance council from 1990-2011. Dr. Phillips started Dr. Peter Phillips PS in 2001. He has been the owner operator until he sold it in 2019. Dr Phillips has been a chiropractic “coach” for doctors looking to grow their practices from 2006-present. He has been a national trainer for the ProAdjuster company from 2006-2014, and has been a trainer for the administration of class 4 laser therapy 2013-2019.

Dr Phillips has been through numerous continuing education classes and programs on topics such as Chiropractic adjustive technique. 120 hour radiology program. 120 hour physiotherapy program. Dr. Clayton Staib is excited to be apart of The Joint Chiropractic. He is a 2016 graduate of Heidelberg University where he received a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science with a concentration in Health and Human Performance. He then received his Doctor of Chiropractic from Life University in Marietta, GA in December of 2019. Upon graduation, he moved back to Northeast Ohio and worked for 3 years as an associate chiropractor at an office in Madison, OH. He is currently at the Mayfield Heights location since February 2023, and is passionate about bringing long-term wellness for his patients through chiropractic care.

Dr. Staib (Stibe like Tribe)* discovered his love for chiropractic while at Heidelberg. He was a 4-year letter recipient for football and a 3-year starter at linebacker. Going into his sophomore year, he injured his back and was expected to miss a significant amount of time. However, his chiropractor adjusted his spine and got him back on the field much faster than anticipated. Dr. Staib walked out of that office knowing what he was going to do for the rest of his life. He believes it is important that each patient knows that their body can heal on its own if there is a clear connection between the brain and the rest of the body. The best way to support a healthy body is by receiving chiropractic care to make sure the spine and other joints in the body are moving with ease. Eliminating pain is not the only goal, but the elimination of pain allows us to function the way our bodies were intended to move. He utilizes several techniques because he believes each patient is unique and requires a personalized approach.

Originally from Alliance, OH, Dr. Staib met his wife, Sarah, at Heidelberg. They got married in the summer of 2018 and currently live in Mentor area. They have a two-year son who is full of energy and endless facial expressions. They enjoy camping during the summer months and going down to his parent’s farm just outside of Alliance where all the cousins will fish, ride ATVs, and relax. Dr. Staib also enjoys hunting, cooking on his smoker, and finding new hiking trails with his family.

I was advised not to go here but I did anyway because my sciatica was bothering me so badly & couldn’t get same day care anywhere else. However after meeting with them twice my sciatica still feels the same. I went in and cancelled my membership. Then I went once more and asked to be sure it was being cancelled before the bill date. And then guess what - THEY NEVER CANCELLED IT and instead BILLED ME ANOTHER MONTH. This is unacceptable. Luckily I have the cancellation notice dated 12/10/24, and they billed on 12/16/24, so next stop is my bank to see if they can stop payment. The Joint Chiropractic said the manager wasn't in and they couldn't stop the payment. DO NOT GET THEIR MEMBERSHIP PLANS UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE BILLED EVEN AFTER CANCELLING. On the plus side - Very inexpensive, especially if you are a senior, 2 or 3 different doctors at this location, long hours 10 am to 7 pm weekdays, Saturday 10 am to 4 pm, very little wait. I like the main person, there Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, but not so much the woman there on the weekends. If you leave a review they will give you a plastic pouch with liquid beads to put in your refrigerator to use as a cooling pack for your pain.

My first impression was a bad one. Despite being told it was a walk-in clinic, I had scheduled an appointment as a new patient for 3:30 PM. Unfortunately, after a 30-minute drive, I arrived 6 minutes late. The receptionist was busy with another patient, and by the time it was my turn, I was 10 minutes late. The receptionist informed me that 3:30 PM was the cut-off and it was too late to be seen. This left me wondering: if they can’t accommodate a slight delay, how flexible would they be during actual treatment? This attitude suggests they may not be willing to offer price reductions, discounts, or financial assistance. I also found it odd that the receptionist claimed it was 'too late'—does each patient require 2 hours? To make matters worse, as my wife and I were leaving, the receptionist didn’t even offer to reschedule or set up another appointment, which made me feel like they either have too many patients or simply don’t care about new ones. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this chiropractor.

Great work. But wont take financial accountability when the system messes up. I was charged for a year without a visit. I was told by one supervisor that my account should have canceled after not being active for three months. I asked for a refund and she told me it shouldn’t be a problem. She once gave someone a refund of 300 for the same issue. Just wait for a call back in 2 days. 2 weeks later I get a call from a guy saying he can only give me 2 months back after the other lady told me it was possible to get my money. Then he proceeded to only give me a refund for 1 month. The attitude was distasteful and I felt rushed off the phone when trying to solve the issue. They even told me to call corporate and let them know so they can be aware of the issue so they can process it here. Great work but the chiropractor, but folk don’t play about their money.

Dr. Staib is excellent. Ariel at the front desk is very welcoming as well. After several doctor visits providing only the options of surgery or pain meds, I decided to take a new approach with chiropractic care. Dr. Staib provided a detailed explanation for my diagnosis and how it is affecting me. Just one month of following his treatment plan, I have more mobility and reduced pain. I’m even feeling improvement in the damaged sciatic nerve that caused right side foot neuropathy from almost 2yrs ago. Very happy I choose to go outside the box!

It’s a mixed bag here because the care was great. However, I understood that I was signing up for a 3 month care package, but it turns out that it’s a monthly charge forever. I’m sure that they are legally covered in the fine print, but a buyer beware given the confusing way the terms are presented.

Walk-ins only! I love it. I just stumbled in after an appointment, looking for more information. I received so much more than I was looking to receive. Dr. Nichols was a wealth of knowledge. Starr (the reception) was pleasant and welcoming. I was given my first adjustment and a treatment plan moving forward. If you've been thinking about stopping in, do it...you will not regret it. The first adjustment was only 29 bucks and the other plans are super affordable should you decide you need more than a one time adjustment.

I had to drop my rating just for the simple fact that they are closed on a Wednesday at 11:30 Looks like no one came today. No note...email...notice, nothing! Given that you have to sign up for a minimum of 2 months, I would expect them to be open during normal stated business hours. It snowed but nothing crazy enough to close given this is Ohio.

I moved jobs and ended up too far away to see my old Chiro. I happened to drive by The Joint Chiropractic and was in so much pain that I decided to take a chance. The doctor there really took time to understand where my pain was and I left feeling 100 percent pain free for the first time in 20 years. I’m not joking. I went back 60 days later when the pain came back (I did some Rock climbing that threw me out of whack) and saw the other doctor. Wonderful results the second time as well. I can honestly say that I highly recommend this office, and I am not one to take the time to write reviews. Great doctors and very reasonable prices.

I enjoy coming here. I’m usually in and out within 30ish min and it’s all without an appointment. There are 3 different therapist and it’s nice because once you find which therapist works best for you, you can match up there schedule. And my precious chiropractors office closed at 5:30-6. And I like how it’s open until 7. Which gives me time after work to head over. ??????
