My name is Dr. Austin Voigt, I wanted to tell you about myself and my journey to the health care field as a chiropractor. I have dreamed of becoming chiropractor since I was in the sixth grade. I got introduced to chiropractic the same way that a lot of people do; by an injury. I was learning how to snowboard and it was a long night of being on my rear-end more than on my feet. I fell one too many times and injured my lower back and for an entire year I had bad pain while sitting. Finally my mom took me to a chiropractor and I had a complete resolution of my symptoms within two weeks. That is when I realized I knew what I wanted to do for a career.
I completed my Bachelor of Arts in kinesiology at Calvin University. While completing my studies I also played two years of collegiate baseball.
I then married my beautiful wife and we relocated to Florida where I would go on to complete my doctorate of Chiropractic at Palmer College of Chiropractic. When I am not treating patients I am spending time with my wife and daughter. I enjoy being active and outdoors. Some of my favorite things to do are mountain biking, disc golf and beach glassing.
The Joint quote:
Chiropractic care is more important now than ever as the majority of the population has been forced into a sedentary lifestyle, as a result of COVID-19. Sedentary lifestyles lead to poor posture, poor habits, and ultimately this results in poor health. Having a chiropractor will get you moving correctly, the way you should be. This will eliminate interference to your nervous system to ensure you are at your optimum health. Your health is of paramount importance, especially during these times.
