Meet The Doctors

Dr. Peter Phillips, D.C. is a Chiropractor at University Heights

Dr Peter Phillips is a native of upstate New York. He grew up in the village of Sackets Harbor. He attended Sackets Harbor H.S. and graduated in 1982. He spent the next 2 years at JCC acquiring a AS degree. He transferred to SUNY at Binghamton to complete the premed requirements necessary to enroll in Palmer College of Chiropractic. He graduated in 1987 with a Doctor of Chiropractic degree.

In 1988 Dr. Phillips began working as an associate doctor in Phillips Chiropractic Clinic, He became a partner in 1991. Dr Phillips was listed as an outstanding young man of America in 1987-90. Dr Phillips was named the Clark County Chiropractic Society’s Chiropractor of the year 1990-1992. He was president of the CCCA from 1991-1995. Dr. Phillips was the local Liaison for the WSCA from 1995-1997. Dr Phillips was a founding member (1989) and is a current member of the Association of Vancouver Business Professionals. Dr. Phillips was in the Kiwanis from 1990-1995. He served his church community as chair of the finance council from 1990-2011. Dr. Phillips started Dr. Peter Phillips PS in 2001. He has been the owner operator until he sold it in 2019. Dr Phillips has been a chiropractic “coach” for doctors looking to grow their practices from 2006-present. He has been a national trainer for the ProAdjuster company from 2006-2014, and has been a trainer for the administration of class 4 laser therapy 2013-2019.

Dr Phillips has been through numerous continuing education classes and programs on topics such as Chiropractic adjustive technique. 120 hour radiology program. 120 hour physiotherapy program. Patient suicide prevention. Patient life saving measures. Chiropractic philosophy. Nutrition. Weight loss. Life prolonging measures. Orthopedics. Kinesiotaping. Care of the aging patient. Laser therapy. Decompression therapy. Motor vehicle trauma. Accident reconstruction.

Dr. Phillips moved to Ohio in 2019 and is so excited to be here serving this community.

I completed my undergraduate studies at Ball State University in Indiana, where I received both a Bachelor of Science Degree in Exercise Science and Bachelor of Athletic Training Degree.

I began my professional career in Columbus, Ohio as a Strength & Conditioning Coach at Donskov Strength & Conditioning Inc., having the opportunity to work with members of the USA Olympic wrestling team, NHL, AHL, & NWHL players, members of the USA Women’s hockey team, MMA athletes, as well as athletes from middle school to collegiate sports. I was also able to work with the NHL Columbus Blue Jackets as a Strength & Conditioning Coach for the 2016-2017 season, where a mentor suggested a pursuit in Chiropractic.

I attained my Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the National University of Health Sciences in Chicago, Illinois. In Chicago, I completed clinic rotations at The Neurologic Wellness Institute and Salvation Army.

I’ve spent thousands of hours learning how the body works and treating patients. I look forward to serving the Cleveland area community.
