Got Pain? Choose Chiropractic Care
By Donna Stark
When I would accidentally hurt myself as a child, I would often run to my parents in a very dramatic fashion just so I could tell them about my injury and get the attention I "deserved." And even though the majority of the time I was completely fine, I felt it was important to get that much-needed TLC, which I definitely got from my mom, but my dad? Well, he was the type of man who would tell me to "rub some dirt on it and you will be fine." I can vividly remember times when I would describe my pain to him. "It hurts when I do this," I would say as I swung my arm, and in typical form, he would reply back, "If it hurts, don't do that."
Well, it's obvious that his response was one way to approach pain but I am here to tell you about another way. Instead of being like my father, I am going to tell you that if it hurts, you should skip the dirt and head on in to see your local chiropractor at The Joint Chiropractic!
Reasons for Pain
There are many reasons why people suffer from pain, and more often than not, rubbing dirt into the affected area does not help. Take a look at some of the reasons and health issues that chiropractic care can help address.
- Carpal tunnel syndrome
- Migraines and headache pain
- Back, and neck pain
- Shoulder, elbow, and wrist pain
- Hip, knee, and ankle pain
Chiropractic Care for Pain
Chiropractic care is an all-natural approach to treating pain. It encourages the body to heal itself naturally by completely avoiding the use of prescription medications and invasive surgeries. And even though it is equally as natural as dirt is, you will certainly end up with better results than if you choose the approach my dad used to suggest. Here are some of the main reasons how chiropractic care can benefit your health.
- Alleviates pain and discomfort
- Removes joint restrictions and nerve interference
- Restores joint and muscle function
- Reduces stress, tension, and inflammation
- Restores optimal function to the nervous and immune systems
- Improves posture and reduces strain on the body
- Reduces the frequency and intensity of headache and migraine pain
- Increases mobility, range of motion, and flexibility
- Improves balance, coordination, and stability
