Back Pain Can Get in the Way of Fun

By Tom Herrin

When people get ready for those recreational outings that they may have looked forward to for so long, they have fun in mind.  The last thing they consider is pain.  Unfortunately pain can sometimes accompany that fun.  The key is to avoid allowing it to cancel out the enjoyment they have been anticipating.  Often between the trip taken to get there and the fun rides that can wear people out, back pain shows itself.  This may be a combination of sitting stiff for hours and being jerked around after arriving.  If the destination is an amusement park, the wind may be taken out of the fun with a few bumpy rides.  If going the extra mile to have a good time ends up as a pain in your back, a visit to a chiropractor may make those memories fond ones.

That Pain Can Be Relentless

When the back muscles are stressed by sitting for long periods or being suddenly moved around, they can become strained.  This can weaken the support they provide for the spine.  When this happens, a joint dysfunction can occur in which pressure is applied to a nerve.  This can cause some serious pain.  It may not go away on its own.

Chiropractors Are There to Help

When people go to a chiropractor for back pain, they are looking for relief.  They are usually given an adjustment in which the spine is gently manipulated so that any injured joint is restored to its optimal position.  When this happens, the pressure is relieved from the nerve and the pain is relieved from the body.  This is all natural so there is no risk of addiction and no chance of side effects.  Many times, the chiropractor will suggest some exercises that can help to strengthen the muscles that support the injured joint.  Recovery is usually faster so that a return to normal activities can happen sooner.

Regular Visits May Help Keep the Body Working Well

Once people feel the relief that may be provided by a chiropractor, they often want to continue.  At The Joint Chiropractic, they have plans that can meet the needs of busy schedules.  No insurance is required, no appointments are necessary.  They are open days and evenings, weekdays and weekends at all of their more than 450 locations nationwide.  If that planned recreational outing turns sour with back pain, drop in at The Joint Chiropractic and sweeten it up with some relief.
