I signed up for three months if adjustment because of neck pain. After going for 2 months I ended up with chronic in my upper left arm. I kept mentioning this and was told my body was getting used to being adjusted. It turns out I know have to see a specialist because the adjustments caused nerve damage to my arm. They continue to change me even though I haven't been in over to months and canceled it.

Ok so hopefully I can explain myself good because English is my second language (sorry ) . I came a few months ago for first time to this place it was $29 when u buy a package I explained back that I’m traveling to South America and be back in a few months the lady said no problem (I’m a world traveler and I travel for a few months each year) so I was coming back today the same lady was there ( I didn’t remember that ) she asked my number I told her that I’m back from my traveling , and she told me to wait a few minutes and after a few minutes I was having my treatment. After my treatment she said I owe $55 I asked why $55 u said $29 that’s what I paid last time , Long story she realized I don’t speak English well and I told her I don’t want to pay $55 that I understood it’s $29 but she refused to listen. I was shocked and told her I’m getting emails all the time for $29 and I’m willing to pay that ( my boyfriend was at harries tester store so while I wait for him I start talking to myself loud (I tried to look at the email with advertisements for $29) the lady told me to be quiet and I’m interrupting her to work I responded I can talk to myself as my as I want trying to understand what happened. She called police to me and my boyfriend and even we said we pay the $55 ( my boyfriend was insisting to pay that ) but he didn’t like the way that lady and place treated me , the chiropractor himself come out and told my boyfriend he is on drugs.and that’s when I understood a bit that this place is no nice no because English is second language (and proud American) because my boyfriend born and raised nice American guy . I cried and cried took me time to relax. I found out the lady name : her name is Megan (short and purple hair ) She was not nice At All Please don’t go to this place I won’t go not even for free to this place The Worse customer service I ever seen in my life and in all places I’ve been around the world

I've had severe back issues including 3 surgeries. I've visited a number of chiropractors, most are selling their programs and try to lock you into their expensive plans. It always seemed that the 12 plan was more important than the patient's progress. I didn't get that feeling at the Joint. Their prices are reasonable and their approach is not complicated by the gadgets they use. First visit was worth a second.

Dr. Osborne took the time to understand my issues, provided a great adjustment and gave me info regarding stretching to help provide relief in between treatments. I have been to many chiropractors over the last 30 plus years and this was a great adjustment and great overall experience. I came in with a pinched nerve and walked out feeling so much better after just one adjustment. If you are in pain and haven’t received relief locally, I highly recommend Dr. Osborne!

I came in yesterday with the worst lower back pain that I’ve ever been in … in my whole life! I could barely walk, sit, or lay down with being in pain. Dr. Smith did her best to help me get rid of that pain, but my body wasn’t having it. I believe it stayed the same or maybe got worse. Dr. Smith was very worried and recommended I see my primary doctor and get X-rays. She even contacted me after all my later doctors appointments to make sure I was doing okay and was curious what the final results are! Even though she personally wasn’t able to help me feel better, I really appreciate how much she cared that I still felt better in the end. I really appreciate that kindness. I was in a lot of pain I hadn't been adjusted in like 3 years. He got my neck to pop twice and no one ever gets it the first try. I suffer from migraines and lack of sleep. I don’t think 5 stars is enough for Dr. Ordille. I have been going to a chiropractor off and on for years from a major injury. I was thrown off a carriage horse in downtown Charleston and the force of hitting the pavement knocked a few of the vertebrae in my thoracic out of alignment. Between physically therapy and then chiropractic I have been comfortably in pain all the time for the past 14 years. Now as a delivery driver lower back pain has been added into the mix. I stumbled into the joint and am so thankful. Dr. Ordille adjustments relieved the old injury pain something I never thought would happen. His adjusting the injured area has also helped with some lymphatic issues I’ve been having ( one of the largest ducts is my spinal injury area). Irony to find an amazing chiropractor right when I’m moving away.

I had been having back pain for about a month now in the lower left region of my spine area. My wife told me to look up the Joint from a friend of hers and we then decided to give The Joint a whirl. "Dr. Kyle" as I like calling him because my name is Kyle. Anyway, the front desk was a pleasant and easy process and after only about 4 minutes of waiting, Dr. Ordille called me and It was a very nice sophistication akin to a Chinese prodigy on piano. He has great customer service skills and is extremely adroit in explaining the process he'll engage you with while on the Chiropractic table. He has hands of magic, soothing, firm, muscular and doing the necessary work on the area in issue.with amazing efficiently. If I could give them negative stars I would. Choose a different Chiropractor, I would even chose someone unlicensed over this business. They'll trick you into entering agreement, make it difficult for you to cancel, and probably charge you without rendering services. If you need more proof just check the consumer affairs website to see how many complaints have been filed against this business, at multiple locations. It pretty obvious they're predators so I advise you to just stay away.

I have been a chiropractic patient for 25 years. I started at The Joint in Mt Pleasant shortly after they opened over 10 years ago. I have been to all of the Charleston Joint locations and 2 in Virginia. I've been adjusted by at least 15 of their doctors. Each doctor has their own approach and I enjoy the freedom of choosing the doctor that is the best fit for me. For the past 2 months I have been adjusted by Dr. Ordille at the Mt Pleasant location. He is the best of all the chiropractors I've been adjusted by in the past 25 years. In just 2 months my lower back and ankles are feeling better than they have in years. Dr. Ordille takes the time to listen to what needs his attention at each visit and then provides a very specific adjustment to correct the problem. He then explains exactly what he is adjusting and why and follows up at your next visit by making sure the adjustment held. Add to this his warm, caring personality and the nail-biting drive over the Ravenel Bridge is so worth it.

I was having major sciatic pain and had not been to a chiropractor in a few years. I found out my old chiropractor had retired and the person who took over wanted to do $100 of dollars in X-rays in exams before he would adjust me. I remember driving by the Joint and figured I’d give it a try. Staff was so sweet. They do sell a membership but not pushy about it at all. I was wary that they would. I love that they are nation wide and walk in. I have chronic back issues and mild scoliosis. I avoided doing a lot of things for that fear that I might not be able to get in to see a chiropractor for days. That is no longer an issue . The initial exam was through and Dr. Cooper gave after care instructions which most places don’t. Greatly appreciate. In 30 minutes my pain level went from a 10 to a 2. So grateful!! I will definitely be a long term patient.

The Joint Chiropractic version of chiropractic care is what I would refer to as a “crack factory”. You’ll come in, they’ll perform extremely generic and generalized care for two minutes, then send you on your way. It’s very clear that their business model is based on volume enforced through extremely manipulative subscription terms rather than individualized acute care. In my several visits to their Long Point location, I never once had the same chiropractor or any continuity of a treatment plan. They will sign you up to a mandatory two month commitment which they make incredibly difficult to cancel, require you to fill out a stack of cancellation forms IN PERSON, and then charge exorbitant fees just for leaving. Despite having extreme lower back pain (a verifiable fact they experienced first hand) and reminding them over the phone just how difficult it is for me to get in a car, they still required me to go IN PERSON to cancel my subscription with them. If you just need a few back and neck cracks and are comfortable in the knowledge that you will be locked into a multi-month hard to cancel commitment, then The Joint Chiropractic may work for you. If you are looking for meaningful and individualized chiropractic care, this is NOT the practice for you. UPDATE 04/04/2023: The Joint Chiropractic’s response to my review continues to mischaracterize their own subscription practices while also stating in a public forum that I have not paid my bills despite demonstrable proof that I have paid every bill and was current on the subscription at the time cancellation. For anyone looking for real-world example of how The Joint treats their patients, please consider the lengths they are willing to go to publicly disparage their own clientele when confronted with accurate descriptions of their business practices.

I have been bringing my “tween” aged son to The Joint Chiropractic for about 5 months. Chiropractic care was recommended as part of a way to correct, improve, and maintain his range of motion and relieve lower back pain for his competitive sport he participates in. We’ve had a great experience so far and my son has felt a difference. He wants to continue for the foreseeable future. I never knew the benefits children/teens could see from routine chiropractic care, but I do now. This has been a great fit for us- the convenience of being able to just walk in at any time cannot be beat! Staff is great too!

The Joint Chiropractic has fully changed my life! Not only has it greatly helped relieve my back pain, but it has also helped improve other unrelated health problems. For instance, I used to experience insomnia 3-4 nights a month and now I sleep like a baby. I barely experience acid reflux anymore also! I tried Chiropractic USA before switching to The Joint and the doctor there tried to charge an outrageous amount after spending only 10 seconds adjusting my back. It was ridiculous! I switched to The Joint after doing more research and discovered their reasonable prices. I tried several different Joint chiropractors at both the Mount Pleasant and West Ashley locations and have my two favorites. Dr. Robertson is the best at the Mount Pleasant location! He is really nice, never makes me feel rushed, is more gentle than other chiropractors and uses various techniques depending on what hurts. Dr. Brett is the best at the West Ashley location! He is really thorough, also really nice, he isn’t as gentle if you prefer that or don’t mind that, but trust me he is moving things around and really gets the job done. Thank you Dr. Robertson and Dr. Brett, you both are awesome!!

Look….this chain (as a whole or just this branch, idk) is a classic example of a broken healthcare industry, where there is a strong conflict of interest between delivering quality healthcare patient care versus driving a profitable business model. Uncomfortable and overly sales focused are the words to describe this place. Did I get chiropractor care? Yes. Did I feel and understand some difference short and long term? Sure. 2 stars then. However, 1) my prior chiropractor not affiliated with The Joint spent an hour with me before versus here they are so focused on throughout I was seen for only 15 min every time 2) my prior chiropractor did not have a rushed appointment and was WAY more thorough and evaluative, spent WAY more time working on my body, and spent WAY more time and care to EDUCATE me on what I can do at home to recover and prevent pain from coming back. This place is 90% focused on high throughput of patients, short appointment time, repeat business, and not NEARLY enough focus on what their business model is all about in patient care. I promise you based on experience not pure speculation of my opinions…….look elsewhere until this place focuses more on patient care than it does today. I understand COVID is hurting everyone financially, but focus less on the sales gimmicks please and more on longer and more educated chiropractic patient care. It’s blatantly obvious, uncomfortable, and just bad business.

Wish I would have read the negative reviews before coming here. They're all spot on. Terrible experience with the front desk and owner. If you need further validation, just look at the owners' responses to bad reviews. Tell's you everything you need to know. I'd recommend the owner and front office invest more time in friendly, professional customer service than they do in sarcastic, rude responses to well deserved bad reviews.

Watch out when you sign up for a membership they do everything they can to keep you from cancelling like making you come into the office, written notification and notification needs to be 30 days in advance. I saw someone write this and I could not agree more. I signed up for a membership and then decided the joint chiropractic was not the right fit for me so I canceled my membership in December. When I looked on my credit card statement it said that they have been taking money out of my account monthly so I went in there again and said I canceled my membership. They told me they had no record and I better find the paperwork. The staff does a great job to confuse you. I suggest to re-train your staff to properly educate patients on your “membership” and ridiculous “policies” I then canceled my membership again and the receptionist told me I had four more times to come in. When I returned she checked me in I went back to the Doctor Who took about 20 seconds to adjust me walked back up to the counter and she told me that I had to pay for a walk-in visit. I have been unknowingly paying for three months and have not been in there one time and then try to use the last of my four visits and she said oh they expired two days ago and now I have to pay for a walk-in. I told her she could have the courtesy to tell me before I went back there that there would be a charge. I asked her as a one time courtesy if she would let today go and she refused. So once again I paid. I was actually referred here by a patient of mine. I can definitely tell you I will not be referring anyone to go to the joint chiropractic. I feel as if they are only driven by money and do not care about the patients. If I could give this place zero stars I would. Upon further investigation I have found out that this has happened to not only me but many people getting taken for their money. I do not feel like they have my best interest at heart I will never consider visiting them again because it was not convenient or affordable.

I wouldn’t say that I had a bad experience, how ever I do feel the older gentleman that adjusted me was a little rough. My neck is SUPER sore after the adjustment, which I know some is normal, but my neck didn’t hurt before I went in on that side but now it does. I also requested that he do a leg pull on my left leg. He straight up refused, which I’ve had the adjustment before and it helped my hip pain TREMENDOUSLY!!! other than that I feel good!

The front desk lady Beth Santos is very rude. My doctor informed me that I can no longer go to the chiropractor because of my shoulder and I went in to xxl my account membership and she called me a liar. I would never have a front desk manager like Beth Santos represent my company. She has very bad customer service. You do not treat people the way she does. I would never recommend the joint chiropractic because of Beth Santos.

I absolutely love this concept. I have been a chiropractic patient for several decades. Finding the right chiropractor can be a challenge. At the joint, you have freedom. When we travel there is usually a joint close by, which helps after driving or flying for a long period of time. While on vacation in Charleston we had a wonderful experience in Mt. Just a doc in a box. He literally ask questions from a sheet, checks them off as he asks and just cracks you and suggests you just keep coming back but doesn't get to the root of the problem or give you exercises to do to help prevent it from happening again. We just moved to Charleston and have been in search for an amazing chiropractor like we had previously, was just hoping for more.

They aren't you're typical Chiro in that you get in and out, no massage, no units to sit on, no balls to hop on. Don't get me wrong, they take their time assessing you and are very talented gentlemen. I have a neck that I couldn't turn left or right, off and on for over a month. It's finally good as new! They even found stuff I didn't mention because I didn't think it was worth mentioning. But they fixed that too! Even aligned my foot once when I needed it. They know their stuff and I highly recommend saving your money and get straight to The Joint.

I only go on Mondays and Wednesdays because I like that Chiropractor better. He genuinely cares and tends to the areas that you're having trouble with.

The staff is great, and I always get a good adjustment. However, I would love to have the old hours back. I have trouble getting there by 6 o’clock due to evening traffic.

Beth and Liz are delightful and great with a big smile every time I come in! Talk about feeling welcome! Best Chiropractor in town, affordable and open 6 days a week,what more can I say? $59 a month for 4 visits, that's $14.75 a visit, less than an appointment w expensive health insurance co payments! No other chiropractor in Mt. Pleasant is this amazing, affordable and open 6 days a week.

I've been in chiropractic care since 1974 and I must say that Dr. Brian Bord, DC at the Mount Pleasant office is one of the most caring, effective and thoughtful doctors who has ever treated me. I have been very pleased with the other doctors at THE JOINT in MP, but Dr. Bord surpasses them all with his attention to detail and response to your last adjustment! Even my husband agrees...and that's saying a lot! Wasn't a believer for himself but is very happy with the care and time Dr. Bord spends with us and his patients. Thank you!

We usually go to the Wescott facility but since we moved here we went to this facility. Dr Todd was awesome and took his time to understand our needs and issues. He was very thorough and effective. Will definitely be coming back

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. They used to be pretty good several months ago until their best chiropractors left. They charged me $49 for my last month and I never even went in because their chiropractors have no idea whats going on. Doctor Todd is pretty good but the others will leave you in much more pain than when you went in.

Do not sign up for their membership! My wife experienced tremendous pain after a readjustment here. She tried this service again to help with her pain but it only worsened. After a verbal attempt to cancel our service on the phone we told we had to come in person to the sign the membership cancellation. Despite calling earlier than another month's charge, our schedules pushed us back a few days and we were in the office too late and charged another month of unwanted services. Though she did not use the service at all, she continued being charged via autodraft. Suddenly, she received an email stating that several unsuccessful attempts had been made to draft yet another payment and to contact us (which they had not) over a 30 day period and the company was sending us to collections. We were being send to collections without warning for a one month lag in pay for a service that was typically auto drafted and that we did not want and that has cause my wife chronic pain. Just a warning... we have recently seen other reviews much like ours.

It is so awesome to be able to walk into a Joint location and know I'm always going to get really personalized and friendly service. The doctor was really knowledgeable, introducing me to a new more gentle style of adjusting my neck. I felt great walking out, and even got a tip about where to get good fried chicken!

Best adjustment I have had in years. Both chiropractor in the offices are wonderful. They check you from head to toe and "traditionally" adjust you. They are great and I always feel great. There plans are not bad either. $60 for 4 adjustments a month? Even when my insurance covered chiropractic care it cost me more than that in co-pays! Highly recomend them.

I love THE JOINT! I've been going to the chiropractor since 1974 and I've never had a better adjustment or care. Now, I love my other doctors, but the time and the concern from Dr. Todd and Dr. Scott is such a blessing. I travel a lot and I've been to the Greensboro and Chicago offices of THE JOINT. I never miss an appointment and my records are right there for the away doctor. Four appointments a month for $59.00! I can't tell you what a blessing that is for us.
