As a society, we don't get enough time in nature. Our world is so incredibly modern. We rarely have the need to get in nature. Everything we could possibly want is indoors. But this lack of natural sunlight and exposure to nature is really hurting us. It's hurting us both physically and mentally. If you spend all your time inside, take a look at these reasons why you should get outside and soak in nature as often as possible.

Nature is calming. Maybe not the middle of a hurricane or a forest fire, but in general, nature has a way of really calming your nerves. Why does this matter? Because that nervous feeling follows us all the time. It's stress, and it never seems to go away. But if you spend some time in nature, you can lower your stress and improve your mental health at the same time.

We're an anxious group of people. We have more anxiety than ever before in history. Regardless of why we have this high level of anxiety, we need to find ways to control it. And spending more time in nature is a good choice. Nature is slow paced. It's natural and helps lower the pace of our minds and lives. It can really slow your thoughts and reduce anxiety.
