With her passion for fitness and her belief in the body’s ability to heal itself, Dr. Weikel specializes in gentle and effective patient-centered chiropractic care. Her areas of expertise include: traditional and low-force adjustments to the spine and extremities, neurokinetic therapy, manual and instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization, functional and kinesiotaping, scar release, sinus relief, pre/perinatal care, and pediatrics.

Dr. Samantha Ramos, D.C. is a Chiropractor at Barton Springs

Dr. Samantha Ramos was born and raised in Brownsville, Texas in the Rio Grande Valley. She attended the University of Texas at Austin and earned a Bachelors in Exercise Science. After completing internships in physical therapy and chiropractic, she decided to pursue a degree in Chiropractic. Dr. Ramos attended the University of Western States in Portland, OR where she received degrees in Doctor of Chiropractic and a Master’s in Sports Medicine. After practicing in Katy, Texas, she has returned to the Austin area.

Dr. Ramos enjoys treating patients of all walks of life! Her focus is to help others improve the quality of life and on preventative care. She is a huge advocate of rehabilitation, and firmly believes that a patient’s rehab plays a big role in their overall health, recovery and wellness.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with loved ones and her dogs. You can find her on hiking trails, paddle boarding, at the beach or stuffing her face with yummy food!

Dr. Robin Cole, D.C. is a Chiropractor at Barton Springs

Dr. Cole joined The Joint Chiropractic family of local healthcare providers in 2016 and currently works at Joint Chiropractic’s San Antonio’s Alamo Ranch location. A graduate of local Parker Chiropractic College, who studied Kinesiology, Science, Anatomy, and Wellness Medicine, she received her doctorate of chiropractic in 2011, she still enjoys learning and loves sharing about health-related issues, wellness, and Chiropractic care.

Dr. Cole, as she likes to be called, says the best thing about being in the chiropractic field is: “Teaching people how to live their life without pain and discomfort”.

The second best thing about being in the chiropractic field is “Watching miracles happen every day”.

Dr. Cole grew up in a military family and moved back to Texas to attend College and still really enjoys living in the San Antonio area near friends and family.

She knew chiropractic was his calling when- “: I was in the military and at the time I was married to a service member and while he was deployed in Iraq he injured his shoulder. While he was deployed I put myself through massage school to learn to fix his injury. My instructor at the time was a chiropractor and I worked for him as a massage therapist and watched him fix my spouse at the time in a few short treatments. I knew then that chiropractic was the right choice for me”.

The thing I like best about working at the Alamo Ranch location of The Joint,” We have a great team of Chiropractors and professionals, '' she says, and “ Being able to see and help treat the local community every day.”: I am a mom of two and my schedule often fluctuates and I have always liked that at The Joint you can walk in when it is convenient to you. I love the simplicity of this model and I have met some incredible people while allowing chiropractic to remain convenient and affordable.”

In Case You Didn’t Know: What’s the one thing in your fridge that you must have, and why? Dr. Cole says she must have Sparkling Water (preferably strawberry) because it makes me happy.

Four “famous” people, living or dead (but not friends/family members), who would comprise your perfect dinner party, and why? I would have to say my first guest would be Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Snoop Dogg, Martha Stewart, and Barack Obama...for starters the energy between Snoop and Martha...there won’t be a dry eye in the house and RBG and Obama...that just speaks for itself. So much wisdom and success across all platforms at that table.

What’s the coolest thing you’ve ever done, and why was it so cool? One day back in 2001 prior to 9/11, I walked into the Navy recruiting office and just enlisted in the military. I don’t think I wanted to enlist but after being told by my father that I would never make it, I had to set out to prove him wrong. Not only did I make it, but I also enlisted in the Army. So I have served in two branches of the Military. Some of the best people I know I met while serving. I have mastered the art of self-discipline, motivation, adaptability, leadership, and accountability because of my time in the military.

Dr. Kris Fridley, D.C. is a Chiropractor at Barton Springs

Doctor Kris Fridley joined The Joint in the fall of 2020 and will be working at the Barton Springs clinic in Austin. Before The Joint, Doctor Fridley worked as an associate in a sports clinic in Austin.

Doctor Fridley received an undergraduate degree in Exercise Physiology from West Virginia University before moving on to attend chiropractic college at Palmer College of Chiropractic Florida.

Becoming a chiropractor became a goal for Dr. Fridley after seeing the impact the profession had on those in need. The ability to see the body as a whole and help patients avoid surgeries, pain medications, and generally feel better quicker sounded incredibly rewarding. He has since seen first hand how the holistic approach that chiropractors provide can be life changing for patients that have exhausted all other options.

In his free time, Doctor Fridley enjoys spending time with his wife, Ashley, and their dog, Harper. Together, they enjoy exploring the outdoors, trying new food options around Austin, and a good bottle of wine.
