[content] => Dr. Dawndi Tomlinson grew up in Grandview, TX where there was limited access to healthcare. Chiropractic care was not as easily accessible near here which meant it was used for bigger accidents for a short period of time. Looking back on her childhood, Dr. T wishes there was better access to chiropractic care for wellness because it could help create more awareness of timely injury management and preventative care. From a young age she knew that she wanted to help others. While she was earning her Bachelor of Anthropology degree at The University of Texas at Arlington, Dr. T was learning more about the benefits of chiropractic care and how its premise is to return the body back to its natural alignment without medicine or surgery really resonated with her. To pursue her passion, she attended Parker University where she received her doctorate in chiropractic.
To Dr. T, the best part of being in the chiropractic field is being able to see her patients return back to their normal lives with less pain and more optimal function. Being in this field, she is able to create a connection with her patients and build a community that some people feel the health care realm lacks. One of her goals as a chiropractor is to have her patients feel seen and listened to throughout their wellness journey.
Being the busy bee she is, Dr. T spends her free time with her family. During hockey season, you can find her cheering on the Dallas Stars!! She has two pound puppies at home named Spanky and Puck.
