Dr. Julia Franklin joined The Joint Chiropractic family of local healthcare providers in 2019 and joined the Cedar Hill clinic location in 2020. A graduate of Jarvis Christian College, she got a bachelor’s degree in biology and a minor in chemistry; she received her doctorate of chiropractic from Parker University.
“The thing I love most about being in the chiropractic field is helping people feel better,” she says. “It’s gratifying to watch people fall in love with chiropractic.”
A product of Southern California, Dr. Franklin worked previously in Fort Worth, Arlington, and Mansfield.
She is a mother of four in a family that also includes a Staffordshire terrier named Bradley. In her spare time, Dr. Franklin enjoys music, movies, and church activities.
She says that chiropractic piqued her interest when she was young. “My mother slid on ice one winter and went to the chiropractor,” she says. “She had me tag along one visit and I watched and asked questions.”
A firm believer in The Joint Chiropractic model and the impact it can have on patients, Dr. Franklin says, “I like the fact that all we do is the adjustment. It is the most important way to help the body heal.”
In Case You Didn’t Know
Dr. Franklin says the one thing she always keeps stocked in her kitchen is avocados: “They are so healthy and taste great.”
If she could bring together any four people from history together for her ideal dinner party, Dr. Franklin would send invitations to President Donald Trump, rapper Kanye West, disc jockey and record producer Sango, and comedian Chris Tucker. “All of them are not afraid to be themselves,” she says.
And when it comes to being themselves, Dr. Franklin says the coolest thing she has ever done involved quite the adrenaline rush: “I’ve climbed to the top of a telephone pole -- and jumped off.”
