Your first visit may take up to 45 minutes to an hour, which gives you time to complete initial paperwork while the doctor evaluates your needs and begins care based on your condition, goals, and treatment plan. After that, follow-up visits are usually just five to 10 minutes. Because our doctors focus on the specific adjustments your body needs at each visit, care can be streamlined without losing its effectiveness. To allow enough time for a thorough new patient experience, new patients should plan to arrive more than one hour before lunch hours or closing.

Your first visit includes a consultation, exam, clinical assessment, and adjustment with a licensed doctor of chiropractic. During this visit, your chiropractor will review your health history, talk with you about your lifestyle and care goals, and evaluate how your body moves. This may include a posture assessment, gait assessment, hands-on exam, range of motion review, and other movement-based checks to better understand areas of pain, restriction, or imbalance.

I laid down as instructed and she started popping my back and twisting me without a question of pain or concern.     Came in feeling a lot of stiffness and holding onto tense emotions, left feeling hopeful and much more free! I never had any chiropractor work done on me so I was feeling a little anxious coming in not knowing what to expect and was met with a nice smile, Courtney welcomed me in and let me know what the process would look like, she was super kind and I felt seen! My impression coming in immediately was positive and Dr. Phelps was too the same standard. She was fully aware of my issues with my posture, I felt understood when Dr. Phelps told me about how lower back positioning can overall affect certain parts of my body that can hold onto pain, and she guided me through certain questions I didn’t have any answer to for years, I was able to get clarity in 30 minutes and she already took the time to figure out which workout goals to work towards. My nervous system feels THANKFUL, really appreciate the great customer service and patience I received from Courtney - and Dr. Phelps is someone I will recommend to my military fam (parents) after I get home. 100% recommend to anyone who is looking for a safe space and amazing results. Excited for my next visit.

    We drive in 30 minutes to see Dr.Phelps. She is the only dr I feel comfortable seeing while pregnant. Always makes sure I feel comfortable during the visit, gives special attention to my body.     The receptionist was exceptionally helpful. The chiropractor who saw me listened to everything that I had to say and not only do I feel 100% better they sent me tons of links to stretching and strengthening videos.

    The practice itself is absolutely 5/5. I love coming here. However, they’ve had these SUPER aggressive solicitors outside of the office lately. The first couple of dudes were nice, but the newer group is EXTREMELY pushy and argumentative. I have no clue how to handle them and I’ve found myself avoiding this clinic lately after one ARGUED with me when I stated I had donated the day before (which I had). I shouldn’t be arguing or pressured to spend even more money EVERY TIME I come here. Like I said, the first few during the summer were courteous, but they’ve gotten more confrontational lately.

    OMG!!! I was nervous coming bc I had been w/my previous Chiro for over 8 yrs. But the staff was amazing from the moment I walked in. And Dr. Phelps was magical, I suffer from chronic headaches due to allergies & she gave me 4 days relief meaning I didn’t have to take any medication.     This place is fantastic. Cost effective, quick. I go on my way home from dropping the kids. It adds a whole 15 minutes to my trip. Front desk staff are wonderful. Knowledgeable, courteous and personable, especially Ms. Courtney. Saw Dr. Phelps today. She really relieved some pressure and again, in and out in 15 minutes. Can't beat it. I can come 3 days a week for the cost of one traditional chiropractor. Definitely recommend.

    Dr. Phelps and the front assistant Courtney are amazing!! Dr. Phelps gave me INSTANT relief.     I’ve had a great experience in my first month at The Joint Cibolo! Courtney at the front desk is super helpful and got my membership all set up. I’m going for mostly maintenance, but I was also getting terrible tension/cervicogenic headaches every few days from years of sitting hunched over a computer everyday for work.     I normally go to Nuspine in Cibolo, but they are not open on Sundays. Last Sunday I tweaked my back and needed an adjustment. Walked into the Joint Chiropractic and was seen by Mr. Doakes. I am not sure what he did to me, but I was not able to walk out of this office. He had to go to my car and bring a walker to me. I was not able to drive and had to call my daughter to pick me up. I waited about an hour and a half for her to get there from SA and in that time, I sat in pain in the waiting room. Mr Doakes did not check on me once that entire time. When I woke up Monday morning, I was in excruciating pain and was unable to stand up or walk. I had to call 911 and was taken to the hospital. I would never recommend this office nor this person to treat anyone. I have since been to Nuspine twice and have received excellent care from them and I am able to stand and walk normally now.

Wait time was very short, tried to arrive early because I knew that I would have to complete medical history. I have been in chronic pain from sciatica for over a year and finally convinced myself to go in January 2025.     So interesting experience, I was originally just trying to get pizza next door and I saw the manager come outside fixing some sign. And I asked her if y’all do work on the body like how I see in tik tok videos haha, and she explained to me everything and the prices (which weren’t bad) but I was skeptical on going still. But the manager at the cibilo location is extremely chill and she convinced me to get a session. The manager is a young white woman with tattoos on her arm. Very very beautiful as well.     What a gem to find! No hassling with insurance or having to wait for a referral. Just walk in, no appointment necessary. I recommend 10/10 UPDATE 1/11/25 I went into the clinic to cancel my membership before the first auto payment and it was very uncomfortable. The chick was very rude and condescending. She repeated several times that I still had 4 vists left. And everytime I said yes I know I'm gonna lose them but I didn't want to also lose money. Im going with a similar clinic closer to my home. Then she put up a fight to give me a copy of the cancelation that I just signed. She said "there's no need for the copy" i said ok I'm not gonna see a charge from u guys right? Her reply was "there shouldn't be" i walked right back in there and demanded my copy. Not sure what that was all about but gave very bad vibes. So proceed with caution because they will not follow up before yr first auto payment like they said they would.

    This is my 2nd time visiting this new location in Cibolo. I’ve been a Joint client for over 5 years and have met many wonderful and professional Drs. over the years. Today I had the displeasure of meeting “Dr. Tysdale” and can honestly say I had the worst experience I have ever encountered at the Joint. My visit lasted probably 5 minutes….I actually had to end my session abruptly because of her horrendous bedside manners. Midway through I had to stop and inform her that I FELT she was rushing through my visit. Instead of acknowledging customer feedback she basically said that’s how she operates with all her clients and I could always come back and simply request someone else. This individual was beyond cocky and inexperienced when it comes to building rapport with patients. I recently had surgery on my left hip…instead of asking me if I was ok with adjusting that area she went right into pulling, extremely uncomfortable and painful. My chart even has notes of my surgery which she was fully aware of as she herself confirmed it. This was not even the reason I went in! The entire short visit was a disappointment and a wasted session. Do you think people will be inclined to purchase a $200+ (6) session package or any other service packet knowing that you will be rushed through your PAID visits in 5 minutes or less OR to be treated like number instead of a patient. I don’t think so. Please do better.

    UPDATE: I really liked the Joint when I initially visited. After the first month I put my membership on hold for which they said you could do for up to 3 months. Thought that was that until the 3 months was ending and I got an email saying it was about to renew again so I decided to cancel, that's when now 4 months of arguing with them to get refunds has started. Turns out they did not put my membership on hold and had been charging me $79 all three months my membership was on hold and they charged me for they month that I had already canceled for because they didn't put the paperwork in the computer that I had to come into the store to sign. I have gotten them to refund three of the four charges but I'm still arguing about the fourth $79. They keep telling me that they've refunded me, but that refund is no where on credit card and they can't even produce a receipt for the refund that they've supposedly done. So I'm still out $79. If you cancel, MAKE SURE THEY ACTUALLY CANCEL YOU'RE MEMBERSHIP. I really like the fact that you can walk in whenever you need to without an appointment. The chiropractor I was seeing, to get an appointment was like 3 weeks out. Even with the appointment I would sit in the office for 1 1/2 - 2 hours almost every time. I really like Dr. Phelps. She will ask what's bothering you, any new concerns, and will work on adjusting them.

    Today I was seen by Dr. Tysdal for my first initial consultation and adjustment. We talked about what was bothering me and she showed me a few stretches to help with my issue. She recommended a treatment plan and we discussed how often I should return. I was emailed further stretch demos to help me before my next appointment. Christine, the wellness coordinator, was really friendly and helped me with picking out the perfect plan/membership for my needs. She explained everything from the number of visits I get, various locations and even the billing cycle. I did not feel pressured into purchasing a membership. I can’t wait for my next visit here.

    After going to different locations of the Joint for a while, I finally arrived at the Cibolo location when Dr. Tysdal was working. She has done a phenomenal job with my chiropractic care. I am a fairly large man (6'6", 335lbs), and she has no issues with adjusting my large frame.     I had a great experience from the moment I walked in. The front desk personnel was very knowledgeable and helpful. The Dr. was also very good. She listened to the things I was complaining about my pain and helped and explained the reasons why things were hurting and gave me good tips to improve my situation. I liked that is walk ins but I wish you can make appointments also, so it’s easy to plan ahead than getting there and have to wait because there is 4-5 people ahead of you.

    I was so excited to try this location because it is so close to my house but when I got there at 3:36 on a Sunday I was told it was too late. I get they close at 4:00 but if the time cut off is 3:30 or some other time specific then it should be posted. Very unfortunate. I'll be canceling. They offer a great monthly plan that makes it not only affordable to get the help I need but they have such a wife range of hours 7 days a week that I can actually make it fit into my hectic schedule.

    Made a 1:30 appt Friday for the free new appt offer a week in advance. Received several confirmation texts and emails including a text morning of. Took time off work, showed up about 1:15 and was told they didn’t not take new patients after 1 pm. Blamed it on the scheduling folks (actually called them incompetent), made no apology or attempt to correct the situation. Very unprofessional. Would not even consider this provider.
