As a basketball player in high school, Dr. Kayla Tallant had continued problems with her ankles. She consistently experienced injuries that would keep her out of play for a week at a time. Thankfully, someone recommended that she see a chiropractor. This changed everything. While she began her professional career working in the corporate world, she eventually realized that she wanted to shed the desk job and pursue a career that allowed her to be more active, have more interaction with people, and above all else, make a difference. "After my first adjustment, I never had an injury that kept me from playing again, and I was able to continue my basketball career into college. Like so many people, I thought I knew what career path I wanted to take, but it wasn’t long before I realized I could make a lasting impact on peoples’ lives through Chiropractic care.”
Her pursuit led her to pursuing a doctorate of chiropractic in Dallas. She has continued her education with the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association, specializing in pediatric and pre-natal care while also treating athletes. She joined The Joint team in 2014 after three years of owning a practice in Oklahoma City. "My philosophy on chiropractic is that everyone with a spine needs to be adjusted. The insurance model does not make this very possible, which is why I am thrilled about this opportunity. The Joint offers me the ability to provide convenient and affordable care to virtually anyone...or at least anyone in our corner of the world!"
Dr. Kayla graduated from Austin College in Sherman, Texas with degrees in History and Political Science before attending Parker College of Chiropractic care in Dallas.
Dr. Allyssa was born and raised in Waunakee, WI. Dr. Allyssa has been riding horses all her life and found truly just how effective chiropractic care was by watching the horses get adjusted. After seeing how big of an impact it made, she started getting adjusted herself by her family chiropractor. She later began attending UW - Parkside for her undergraduate degree and while nobody loves a good cheese curd more than Dr. Allyssa, she decided to move down south to Dallas, TX to pursue her chiropractic career at Parker University where she graduated in 2018. After working in an auto-accident clinic for a year she joined The Joint Chiropractic in July 2020.
My name is Allyson Clark and I am a chiropractor. I go by Dr. Clark. I am a new doctor with The Joint starting this year, 2022. I am a proud graduate of McNeese State University located in Lake Charles, LA., where I obtained my Bachelors of Science with a concentration in Sports medicine degree in December of 2017. I went on to obtain my Doctorate of Chiropractic degree from Logan University in August of 2021. One of the best things about being in the chiropractic field is its versatility. There are so many different techniques to help patients reach their health goals. Another thing about chiropractic care is that it is great for all ages. Growing up in Lake Charles Louisiana was great. I swam competitively, played golf competitively, sang in the choir and was in the band. I had never been to a chiropractor. Once I enrolled in college a Palmer representative spoke to my class. I went and shadowed a chiropractor and the rest is history… I’m looking forward to serving the community through chiropractic care.
Dr. Ralph Stokes graduated from Parker College of Chiropractic in 1994. He has practiced 28 yrs, mostly in private practice in the Richardson-Plano area and 5 years with Texas Back Institute who specializes in spinal surgeries and spinal diseases. Dr. Stokes has advanced education in nutrition, orthopedics and acupuncture. I believe the start to good health is the adjustment and all other forms of treatments only enhances the adjustment. I enjoy working for "The Joint" because the company is dedicated to providing the adjustment and gives patients easy opportunities and affordable prices.
