Meet The Doctors

Dr. Kayla Tallant, D.C. is a Chiropractor, Clinic Director at West Village

As a basketball player in high school, Dr. Kayla Tallant had continued problems with her ankles. She consistently experienced injuries that would keep her out of play for a week at a time. Thankfully, someone recommended that she see a chiropractor. This changed everything. While she began her professional career working in the corporate world, she eventually realized that she wanted to shed the desk job and pursue a career that allowed her to be more active, have more interaction with people, and above all else, make a difference. "After my first adjustment, I never had an injury that kept me from playing again, and I was able to continue my basketball career into college. Like so many people, I thought I knew what career path I wanted to take, but it wasn’t long before I realized I could make a lasting impact on peoples’ lives through Chiropractic care.”

Her pursuit led her to pursuing a doctorate of chiropractic in Dallas. She has continued her education with the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association, specializing in pediatric and pre-natal care while also treating athletes. She joined The Joint team in 2014 after three years of owning a practice in Oklahoma City. "My philosophy on chiropractic is that everyone with a spine needs to be adjusted. The insurance model does not make this very possible, which is why I am thrilled about this opportunity. The Joint offers me the ability to provide convenient and affordable care to virtually anyone...or at least anyone in our corner of the world!"

Dr. Kayla graduated from Austin College in Sherman, Texas with degrees in History and Political Science before attending Parker College of Chiropractic care in Dallas.

Dr. Brent Money, D.C. is a Chiropractor at West Village

Dr. Brent is a transplant from northern Michigan way of Atlanta, GA. During high school he suffered an injury playing volleyball causing pain and dysfunction to his neck, upper back and left arm. After a few trips to his medical doctor and multiple prescriptions to "treat" his pain, his father took him to a chiropractor where normal function and alignment were restored. This is where the spark began and built the flame for his chiropractic passion. He began working with Dr. Kim Hunter at AuSable Chiropractic Clinic in his hometown. She inspired him further and helped lead him down the path to become a chiropractor. He graduated as Valedictorian from Mio AuSable H.S. in 2009 and continued onto his post-secondary education at Michigan State University. In 2010, Dr. Brent and a close friend created the MSU Pre-Chiropractic Association which further fueled his passion for chiropractic.

In late 2013, Dr. Brent made the trek down to Life University in Marietta, GA, just north of Atlanta, GA. Not only was he passionate about chiropractic, but also about holding leadership roles on campus. During his 3.5 years at Life U, he held an active role as secretary and president of the Student Council, graduate assistant volleyball coach, orientation team leader, graduation banquet chairman, and a general member of both the Gay-Straight Alliance and Student LifeForce. In March 2017, Dr. Brent graduated Cum Laude with many of his friends and family in attendance.

In 2017, Dr. Brent moved to the Dallas area and began working for The Joint Chiropractic. He has worked at the Uptown West Village location since July 2017.Working at the Joint allows him to treat patients who otherwise may not be able to afford preventative wellness care through chiropractic. He enjoys educating on health and wellness and getting to see patients improve and thrive after their routine adjustments. Dr. Brent practices many techniques that include: Diversified- Full Spine, Thompson, Gonstead, extremity adjusting, Toggle, Webster's, pediatric adjusting and Sacro-Occipital technique.

Dr. Glass believes that the best thing about Chiropractic is being able to work in a broad range of areas- pediatrics to geriatric patients and women's health to sports cases, as well as being able to work with a variety of people. The second best thing about Chiropractic is being able to educate patients about Chiropractic care, in addition to healthcare in general. Dr. Glass is passionate about Chiropractic, her patients, and their overall healthcare, and she knew she had found her calling when she was working with an 85 year old geriatric patient who had a wide gait and balance issues. Through the course of his treatment Dr. Glass as able to significantly decrease the width of his gait and improve his balance, which allowed the man to stop wobbling as he walked, as well as become able to walk the hills in Austin, TX with his son.

Although Dr. Glass works hard for her patients she also has fun! When asked what is the one thing in her fridge that you must have she answered "WATER! It keeps me hydrated, allows me to think clearly, and makes my skin pretty!" Being the amazing planner that she is when asked if you could have the perfect dinner party with only 4 guest, who would it be and why? "I would invite Former President and First Lady Barack & Michelle Obama (No explanation necessary), Michael Jackson because he was a musical genius and gave so much to the world, and Dorothy Dandridge. She was the first African-American female nominated for a Leading Actress Oscar in 1954 for her role in Carmen. I would theme my party Game Changer because all of my guest revolutionized America in their respective arenas. Despite the fact that each guest endure various social challenges, each did so with class, grace, and elegance."

Finally, Dr. Glass states that the coolest thing she has done was to travel to Australia by herself! "It was cool because I got to feed and take pictures with kangaroos, fly across the Pacific Ocean, & swim in the ANTARTIC OCEAN!"
