International Chiropractic Association Welcomes Their 18th President
Earlier this week, the International Chiropractic Association was granted a huge asset when the 18th president of the organization was appointed. George B. Curry, DC, DACS, FICA, LCP has become the 18th president of the International Chiropractic Association, and plans to bring his diverse skill set and overwhelming amounts of experience to the forefront of the organization’s strategy and operation.
George B. Curry graduated from the esteemed Palmer College of Chiropractic in 1982. Upon graduating, Curry held many different positions before opening his own practice in Connecticut. He has been recognized for his accomplishments in care provision to the patient population in his area of Connecticut. In 2000, he was recognized by the Connecticut Chiropractic Council with their “Chiropractor of the Year” award for his preventative approach and his efforts towards overall benefits for his patients. Along with his private practice’s outcomes, Curry has spent time developing the Connecticut Chiropractic Council as Chairman of the Board.
In addition to his pursuits in his practice, Curry has held the chiropractor position for various professional sports teams, performing adjustments and enforcing preventative measures in professional basketball and football players to increase performance. Curry has also taken his efforts towards providing patients quality chiropractic care in under-served areas throughout the world, with chiropractic mission trips to Poland where he enacts all sorts of treatment interventions in an assortment of populations.
In recent years, George B. Curry has continued to gain accolades in the chiropractic care community. In 2010, Curry became a Distinguished Fellow as he was recognized by the International Chiropractic Association and awarded the FICA Dedicated Service Award.
Needless to say, George B. Curry is beyond qualified to lead the International Chiropractic Association. With experience in the United States as well as in an international setting, Curry has an understanding of what needs to be done in the broad spectrum of patient populations. Combined with his contributions to a variety of chiropractic organizations and his numerous leadership roles, Curry is a great choice to eventually do great things for the International Chiropractic Association.
