For him, the most fulfilling part of his work is watching patients improve their health and quality of life in a short period of time—often for conditions they thought they had to live with forever.

His own journey with chiropractic care is what inspired his career. At 19 years old, Dr. Murray suffered from severe headaches for two weeks straight. His mother took him to a chiropractor, and after just a few visits, the headaches were gone. He knew right away that he wanted to provide that same life-changing relief to others. This personal experience fueled his passion for helping people heal naturally, without a reliance on drugs or medication.

To pursue his new calling, Dr. Murray earned his Associate Degree in Science and Biology from Cooke County Junior College before receiving his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the esteemed Texas Chiropractic College. Throughout his career, he has found it amazing to see patients find relief not only from back and neck pain but also from a variety of chronic issues like asthma, digestive problems, and headaches.

Growing up as the son of an Air Force serviceman, Dr. Murray lived in Italy, Bermuda, and Taiwan. This experience gave him a love for learning about different cultures and a deep understanding that people from all walks of life can benefit from the universal principles of chiropractic care.

Outside of The Joint Chiropractic, Dr. Murray is a dedicated family man. He and his wife, Sherry, have been happily married for over 21 years. They have six grown children—three boys and three girls—and are the proud grandparents of five. When he’s not watching sports or playing a round of golf, his favorite thing to do is sit on his back porch and watch his four dogs play. Much like his children, his Doberman, Border Collie/Lab mix, Pitbull/Boxer mix, and Wheaton Terrier all have their own wonderfully unique personalities.

I just came in to do a regular routine adjustment at my normal location. The young lady at the reception at Chapel Hill refused to let me sign in until I downloaded the Joint app. I told her I didn’t really want to download the app and that had been a long week and wasn’t interested in adding another app to my phone. She kept gaslighting me telling me that it’s something that’s going to help me and that I needed do it and it’s just gonna be such a benefit for me. I went ahead and signed up. She also took my phone number as if she was signing me in. I wait a while for the doctor to call me back. I end up asking if the doctor was in and she said yes did you sign up for the app? I said yes and there was nothing on the app that gave me the indication where to sign in so I became frustrated and left. Shortly after leaving I called back to ensure that she had not signed me in and that I was not gonna lose a credit for my adjustment. And she acted as if she didn’t know who I was at first, and then I asked her directly, “Is it mandatory for me to sign up for the app” and she kept saying the “app is going to benefit you …the app is going to benefit you”. I told her I was not interested in keeping the app and that if it was something that I had to do to get service that I would like to go ahead and cancel my service. She proceeded to ask “is there anything else I can help you with” and again I asked her to “please clarify whether I have to do this” and she told me to hold and then proceeded to hang up on me.

Edit: this is the right location. I'm still waiting on my refund for 3 months. When I call, they continue to say they've emailed the manager. This was my first time going to a chiropractor, and they were fine but it wasn't for me. When I signed up for the monthly, they said I could cancel any time and didn't mention a minimum time. I canceled, and here I am 3 months later trying to get them to stop charging my card. I will call, and they say they'll let their manager know to refund and stop charging. I found my new favorite Joint location! Both of the receptionist I have encountered have been so very welcoming and I cannot rave enough about both of the chiropractors that I have seen there. This review is to praise Dr. Seals, whom I saw at the joint chiropractic location off of Hulen and I 30. I’ve been going to Chiropractor’s for 25 years and Dr. Seals gave me one of the best adjustments that I’ve ever had at any joint location. I would strongly recommend her! I love that this is a walk in, no appointment needed office.?. My schedule is never the same. Plus, I never know when my body needs an adjustment. I signed up for a wellness plan $89.00 a month after I experienced some financial hardships, my account was overdrawn, so, I requested to freeze my wellness membership account, at which point I was then coerced into signing up for the Flex Plan for $25 a month and $25 visits. I was open and honest about the financial hardships I was facing, but agreed that I could afford the $25 a month. I had requested a second time to freeze my account because my payment was going to come out on the 1st and I wouldnt have the funds available, but was offered an option to move my payment date to the 9th so I agreed. Well, I was charged for the wellness membership ($89.00), again and my account overdrawn (again). I went into the office and canceled my membership, but was asked if I canceled my wellness membership when I switched to the flex plan. When switching to the flex plan I was assured my account wouldnt be charged $89 again. I felt pressured by staff each time I requested to freeze my account not to do it. I signed up with every good intention to see the $89 wellness plan out and didn't foresee the hardships, however, at the time I signed up I was assured that I would have "hassle free cancelation and could cancel at anytime". Thats not the case. I requested a refund for the amount overcharged and was told that the manager Chelsea has to approve it, and then treated like it was my responsibility to ensure the staff did their job by requesting a cancelation form when I switched from the wellness to the flex plan. I signed every form presented to me to by staff to switch plans, I feel as if there was some deception as the staff didn't present me a cancelation form and expected me to know to specifically request a cancelation form when switching memberships. Bottom line, its not as easy as you're told to freeze or switch ir even cancel memberships. So now I wait to see if the manager will refund the money that I have been overcharged. I find that my wellness isnt as important as the staff lead on as this has caused me additional stress that I do not need!

I’ve been coming to The Joint Chiropractic in chapel hill for 11 months now. When I came in January I was having trouble with my right hip, right knee and I kept rolling my right ankle every other week since October of 2024 ? Thanks to Doctor Chris I have not rolled my ankle at all this year. Very, very , very bad experience, will not use them ever again in this life. The chiropractors did their job the months I went there, but the system kept getting money out of my bank account for 13 months after I did freeze my account, without receiving any call back from them about my absence there while they were charging the monthly fee. So, in other words, I did pay over a year of service without getting any service at all. I did try to get my money back and they said no. I did try to get at least the Chiropractor's service And the office said no, they told me that I can not get anything back from them. I will pray to God for all of you nice people who keep needing their service so you will not get the same treatment that I got from the joint Chiropractor system.

When I came to this location I was in a lot of pain, I explained to them I am on a very tight budget, they basically encouraged mt to sign up for a monthly trial and said I would only be charged for the one month, never mentioned that I needed to cancel this subscription and never told me it was a recurring fee. so I go for my one month and not paying very much attention didn't realize this $89 dollar fee has been coming out of my account for the past 3 months! oh but I get plenty of text messages stating why I haven't been in not once did anyone ever bother to say well you are being charged for our services maybe you should come in. I was misinformed by their receptionist and was basically finessed into signing up for a program I didn't want or need and only agreed because it was the cheaper option for the month I was needing treatment.

Dr Lindsey is amazing! I have seen many different chiropractors over the last couple decades and she does a few adjustments I have never had any dr do on me and they make all the difference! I felt like I was on a cloud when she was done. I have had some chiropractors stretch my neck out before and it felt like she had don’t that, but she didn’t, which left me in total amazement! She is there Sunday through Thursday and Dr Bailey is there on Fridays and Saturdays and if you need a more gentle adjustment I would suggest her, because Dr Lindsey is very aggressive in her adjustments and I need that and I love it. It is very hard to find chiropractors that are aggressive with adjustments, so if you need that, go with Dr Lindsey, you won’t regret it! But if you do need someone more gentle, come on a Friday or Saturday and see Dr Bailey. I love that they have someone for everyone’s needs. If you can’t make it for Dr Lindsey, Dr Bailey will definitely get the job done, and she is sweet as pie! There is just an extra oomph in Dr Lindsey’s adjustments that I needed. I always felt something was missing in my adjustments from all other chiropractors but couldn’t figure out what. If that is how you feel, give her a try!

I’m disappointed, went in primarily for my foot/ankle, drs did not adjust my foot/ankle one time, not once. The drs didn’t feel my joints to feel where the problems are like most drs can tell. They used only 3 techniques all together and only adjusted my mid back, barely had an adjustment on my lower back and my neck. They were not able to adjust my neck the way that works for me. This place is fine for someone who hasn’t experienced the chiropractic world before, in other words if you’ve never been to a chiropractor than this is the place for you. I was excited to tell the dr what I learned about the joints and the Dr gave me a smug response to basically indicate I didn’t know what I was talking about, yet made a false statement about a chiropractic technique saying that way is harmful when in fact most chiropractors that have the ability to perform that technique do that technique. I felt pressured into buying a package for treatment but it seems like these doctors are lazy and just want to get paid to adjust the bare minimum. Oh also, the dr got me to buy the treatment package by telling me he would give me three free sessions but when i was sick and didn’t want to go in fear of them catching my sickness they told me tough luck, my free sessions have expired. If I would have known that I would have just gone in with no concern of their health.

I had a first appointment ever with the joint, after much hesitation, at the Chapel Hill location in Fort Worth. My hesitation and reluctance to get “adjusted” by the joint proved to be well suited. The doctor very briefly talked to me about the problems I was having and what i did mention was dismissed as not a legitimate issue, even though I couldn’t lean my head a certain way and my left leg has such limited mobility that I can’t extend it at all. The adjustment, if you even want to call it that, was so aggressive that he physically knocked the air out of me. He did not take the time to assess my spine, neck, or joints in any way in order to pinpoint where an actual issue might lie. He just slammed into my back, aggressively yanked on my feet, forced my neck to go in a direction that was painful due to the aforementioned reason for being there in the first place. Nothing he did offered any type of relief. It actually increased my pain level and caused new pain in areas that were seemingly fine before. There was no waiting on me to breathe in between adjustments, there was no adjusting with the flow of my breath, and there was little to no care applied to my body and the issues I had addressed both verbally and on my paperwork. After the adjustments I let him know that my hip felt zero relief whatsoever. The pain was actually worse than when I walked in. There was zero sound advice offered. I hoped that going into that appointment, since they are licensed doctors, that there would be an attempt to figure out the root of the problem and offer advice as to how I should move forward, I.e some type of imaging, an actual care plan that didn’t solely revolve around my purchasing a membership, or a suggestion to help the inflamed area. And no, stretching the opposite hip is not beneficial. All of this is said on the premise of my being adjusted by someone who is actually skilled in their craft, who takes the time to listen and tend to the body, and knows that there is more to chiropractic care than the amount of ”cracks” you hear. I don’t care that I have ti drive over an hour to her private practice. An hours drive is better than experiencing the sheer level of discomfort and pain inflicted on me whilst at the joint. I will absolutely not be returning to the joint and I will in no way recommend y’all’s “care” to anyone.

Originally signed up in Houston Branch, the Fort Worth branches keep up and they do not disappoint. They ask how frequent does your body need maintainance after applying good exercise, nutrition, and plenty of back stretching. They really care about your health and listen to your concerns about the other branches miscommunication on thier opening hours. The precision and thier need to inform, wheither you are an athlete or office worker,, that good sleep and sitting posture is essential to get a healthy back without having frequent visits. I don’t know what I would do without the Joint. Last year I was having to use a cane to be able to walk due to an injury. I now am able to walk without a cane. I like how the Joint Chiropractic is affordable as a wellness clinic compared to other Chiropractors who can easily charge 4 times as much per visit. The Joint has been life changing. Dr. Mike is one of the best Chiropractors that I have ever had. He is very knowledgeable and fully capable in adjusting all the bigger guys like myself.

I have had back pain for several years. I have two small boys and I'm 33 and could hardly do any physical play with my kids. I cried happy tears after the first adjustment from the relief! I was a patient when this location first opened and remained a client for the last 5 years. My last 3 visits were with incompetent chiropractors. The last visit I was hurt by the chiropractor. I just called the location to address my injury and concerns. I asked to speak to someone within a manager/owner role. No one was available so I left the reception my name and number. When I asked when I could expect a return call, I was told to NOT expect one. When I asked why no one would call me back, I was told that there was not anything that a manager could do. BEWARE BEFORE GETTING TREATED HERE! I was left hurt, with no accountability.

I loved Dr. Peter because he always knew JUST what I needed to feel relief. He no longer is at this location which broke my heart; however, TODAY I dealt with Dr. Spaulding. I gotta say, many chiropractors can learn a great deal from this dude. He was not afraid to get in there and be aggressive (which is absolutely what I’ve been needing this entire time). I had to stop my membership due to loss of income for a few months and Dr. Spaulding actually made me consider renewing my membership. I will definitely be back. Thank you so much Dr. Spaulding for this much, MUCH needed relief.

Dr. Davis is a lifesaver! I am in my third pregnancy and have extreme neck pain to the point of constant headaches. I also had my hip out of place. In just one week, and two visits so far with Dr. Davis, I am already feeling much better. My pregnancies in particular are very hard, and I wish I had lived here sooner. Maybe he could have helped me enjoy my last two pregnancies. I reccomend them. I didn't like that everything was open at first (The beds are all in one room and I have some social anxiety), but after going it doesn't bother me. I don't notice the other people in the room waiting. No appointments necessary which is nice when you're a busy mom!

I’ve experienced many years of chronic pain and other chiropractors, x-rays, MRI’s and even CT scans in that time frame to try to resolve it. In my first visit at The Joint, Dr. Peter identified that I had a shoulder out, which he put back in place and immediately I felt relief for the first time in 7 years. I still have chronic lower back pain but after just 2 visits I’ve experienced more relief than ever, having gone from nearly immobile to walking unassisted. They have definitely won me over!

Went for a regular adjustment and not sure what was happening prior to my arrival but it seemed like a strained environment and my adjustment was extremely rushed and rough. I came in recently with pretty intense hip pain! Although he couldn't "quick fix" me Dr. Mike has made a huge difference in my level of comfort in just two visits. Awesome customer service hurt my back at work the day previous, and was in deep need of an adjustment came down to fort worth about 40 min drive from Granbury and was abke to be seen as a walk in, the chiropractor was very inviting and answered any questions I had and was able to do a full spine adjustment felt better almost immidatly I will be returning in the near future. What a blessing! Dr. Peter is best chiropractor I have ever been to; and Dr. Atwood is amazing, too. Dr. Peter's firm adjustment fixed an old issue that others could not. 25 years of pain and all it took was an excruciating nerve headache on a Saturday with a 4:00 am search to find an open chiropractor. And you will be hard pressed to finder better front desk staff anywhere! My only regret....not finding The Joint sooner. But everything happens just as it should. This place is good if you need something popped back in or general adjusting, Quite a few people go here. I took my son here as he whacked out his back at his job. The Joint started as a $19 visit and had special pkgs you could buy. However now it is $29 I believe. Still a good deal when compared to most chiropractors are at $50 minimum. A few visits and my husband, me and my son were feeling better. Although my husband and me went to the Arlington one in the Highlands not this one.

Went there for a regular adjustment. Came out hurting worse. Dr. Yussef popped my shoulder and it really hurt. He was a bit rough. I usually go to the one one Hulen with Dr. Murray. He has never hurt me while adjusting my shoulder.

I can not recommend Dr. Peter and this place enough. He is very knowledgeable and was a huge help. I had sciatic nerve pain and he greatly expedited my healing. There was never a tremendous wait and the initial sign up was easy.
