Must-Have Technology Tools for Chiropractors

There are a growing number of technological resources that are proving to be useful in not only just the medical community, but also in the chiropractic care community. So many different aspects of the United States healthcare system is being streamlined through technology, and there is a rapidly growing trend of incorporating all sorts of technology into care provision, service delivery, record keeping, telemedicine, and so much more.

The small business funding giant known as Direct Capital recently released a list of “The 50 Must-Have Technology Tools for Chiropractors,” and while the list is quite extensive, it provides so much insight into where the chiropractic care community stands now, and where it could be headed with the incorporation of certain technological elements into their care pathways and clinic structures. The list was quite interesting.

The number one most important must-have technology tool that chiropractors should have is an Electronic Health Records System. Specifically, Direct Capital highlights the Practice Studio Chiropractic Electronic Health Records System as the best product of this type is it combines so many of the resources that a chiropractic clinic might need into one program. It allows for interconnectivity and enhanced capabilities on both the patient side and the practice side, that would not be attainable without this program.

An interesting member of this list is positioned 7th, which is the program known as ReportMASTER. This program generates reports quickly and efficiently, and simplifies the patient record storage process. Often time chiropractors are bogged down with writing reports of a given patient’s case for recordkeeping purposes and the meet the qualifications placed on their clinics by insurance companies. With Report MASTER, time spent on record keeping and report production reduces can be cut in half so that chiropractors and administrators can focus on other aspects of the practice.

Way down the list at 27th is a program called BPMRx that designs and creates exercise programs for patients to take home with them. This is becoming more common in chiropractic care and the use of BPMRx can help make the process of developing exercise programs and prescriptions simple and effective, with an added element of aesthetically pleasing design.

This list can be viewed by its entirety and those involved in chiropractic care should give it a once over to figure out ways to improve their practice. Adding technological elements to a chiropractor’s practice not only brings it up to date in the twenty-first century, but adds efficiency and effectiveness in every aspect of the practice’s operation.
