Prestigious Award For U.S. Doctor of Chiropractics
It’s that time of the year again, and one of the most revered institutions in chiropractic care is giving out its annual awards. Each year, members of the chiropractic community that have made great strides in this discipline of alternative medicine, are awarded for their achievements by Sherman College of Chiropractic, and the awards carry great prestige.
This year, Sherman College of Chiropractic has awarded Dr. Dean DePice with its “Chiropractor of the Year” recognition. This award is given to chiropractors who have exhibited great effort in growing the presence of Sherman College of Chiropractic and in expanding the discipline of chiropractic care overall.
Dr. Dean DePice has done so much for the chiropractic community since he began practicing in 1987. Since then, Dr. DePice has been an integral member of the chiropractic community with his high quality practice and diverse approach to chiropractic care on the whole. He has founded an organization called TLC4 Superteams, which is a group of professionals dedicated to increasing education levels and the presence of leadership for a variety of medical professionals. TLC4 Superteams interacts with Sherman College of Chiropractic in many different ways, including donations, educational courses for Sherman students, and conferences that inform Sherman students of the organization’s goals and activities. Dr. DePrice is also on the Sherman College of Chiropractic Board of Regents, which oversees the actions and inner workings of the college in all capacities.
Another award was the “Regent of the Year,” which is given to a member of the Sherman College Board of Regents that exhibits endless commitment to the board and to the college itself. This year’s award winner was actually quite unique as there were actually two winners. Pam and David Courtney were given the “Regent of the Year” award, the first couple to ever win the award. The couple was awarded Lifetime Regent Distinction in 2013 as they have contributed so much time and effort into bettering the Sherman College of Chiropractic.
Awards are great ways to reinforce the dedication to the discipline of chiropractic care and in institutions like the Sherman College of Chiropractic, awards will continue to motivate and encourage growth in professionals of all kinds.
