Why ShareCare Stands Out as the Newest Wellness Platform
There are a growing number of technology platforms that have arisen over the course of the last few years, that are assisting so many individuals in understanding what needs to be done to promote their health and wellness. The program has accrued multiple series of funding, with a $20 million investment from the Wellington Management Company and a $5 million investment from the company Trinity Healthcare. Combined with the funding that has come from founders Dr. Mehmet Oz and Jeff Arnold, Sharecare is now valued at roughly $163 million.
The Trinity Healthcare network has used Sharecare in over 30 million patient care pathways in 20 different states since late 2014. Some of the tools that are provided by Sharecare and that are able to engage patients in a series of new wellness monitoring behaviors are truly centered on bettering the patient’s life. These tools are exceptionally productive and are easily integrated into the lives of the patient. Adherence is such a problem in healthcare promotion, so having a technology-based platform behind patients is invaluable.
Sharecare offers a patented health risk assessment called the RealAge Test, various different individualized wellness programs that are focused on the patient, a place to store and compile fate from devices that are used in the process, a map of facilities within the patient’s network, appointment management tools, physician interfacing, and a variety of other applications.
