How to Eat Clean With Little Effort

If you have ever looked into dieting or seriously losing weight, then you have probably come across the notion of clean eating. Clean eating is not a new concept and is used often by people in the fitness community. The problem with clean eating is not the process itself, but rather getting started. It can be tough to go from your regular eating habits to suddenly eating fresh and clean. To help you get started on the clean eating path, check out these simple and effortless tips.

Add Fruits and Veggies

A really simple way to begin with clean eating is to simply add fresh fruits and veggies to your diet. Where you might normally look to an unhealthy snack, opt for a quick apple or pear. At dinner, replace your bread option with one more vegetable. Since this can be tough for people, just take it slowly. You don’t have to change your diet all at once. In fact, it is much more likely to stick around if it is done in a slow methodical manner.

Subtract Junk Food

The real goal is to cut out sugar, but this is a truly difficult task. Instead of tackling it all at once, go at it slowly. Simply avoid the obvious junk food like sweets and candy and chips. As you master one form of junk, add another. Pretty soon, your junk food intake will be limited and your diet will be less saturated with sugar. Once you master junk food, move on to other convenient foods like the occasional fast food stops.

Stick to Water

Getting off of sodas or juice can really be tough for a lot of people. Cokes are addictive! For seriously clean eating, however, you simply have to give it up. If you want to still have your coffee or tea, fine, but try to cut back on the sugar and cream. When possible, go non sweet tea and black coffee. For all other drinks throughout the day. try your best to stick to water. If you need to, flavor it up with a powder until you kick your soda habit, and then work on eliminating the flavor habit. The simple act of taking in more water can help with overeating, staying hydrated, and keeping the body in a generally healthier state.

Clean eating doesn’t have to be super difficult. Even though it can feel hard at the beginning, it really does get easier. Use these tips to help you get started on your clean eating journey so that you can be in better health in no time.
