Exercises for Strong Arms

It’s almost tank top and swim suit weather, which means it’s also time to get those arms in shape. Flabby arms are not attractive on anyone, so getting them in shape can help you feel better about yourself and your body. While this can sometimes be tough, with the right knowledge and some preparation, you can make it happen. To get your arms tone and in shape, check out these exercises for building strong arms.

Bicep Curls

To do a bicep curl, you will probably want some weights. You’ll hold your arms in front of you, palms facing forward, weight in hand. Then, slowly lift your hand toward your shoulder. Take it back down again slowly and under control. When you have mastered this, you can up your weight to add a little challenge. This will tone the upper part of your arm and help you build strength. This is a great area to work in order to look good in your sleeveless shirts.

Push-ups

The good thing about a push-up is that you don’t need any additional equipment. A properly performed push-up can work your shoulders, biceps, and triceps in one move. To perform a push-up properly, check for these key points. Hands should be under the shoulders or slightly wider. Legs should be straight with your feet together. Your back should be level, and your butt should be down. Be careful not to sway the back. Then perform this move slowly and under control.

Tricep Dips

Your triceps are on the back of your upper arm. Working this muscle will help provide balance to your arms. For a tricep dip, sit on a chair or step. Hold your legs straight out in front of you resting them on the ground. Then place your hands on the chair, scoot your backside off of the seat, and slowly dip toward the ground. Then bring yourself back up. Don’t rest on the seat between dips. This will build strength, but will also provide some nice definition.

If you are anxious to slip into your tank top or swim suit, then use these exercises so that you’ll look better than ever. If you have any questions, don’t be afraid to consult with a fitness professional to make sure you’re doing these moves right. Before you know it, you’ll have toned, strong, summer ready arms for the warm months just ahead. Work on those arms to feel confident, sexy, and strong for the long haul.
