3 Solutions for Strengthening the Core

The core needs to be strong if it's going to support the body. Other muscles will have to work harder to keep you balanced, which can quickly lead to fatigue and even injury. Lower back pain is a common sign of a weak core because of this. With some solutions for strengthening the core, you can ensure your midsection is up to the challenge of balancing your body and keeping you upright. It also boosts overall health.

Eat the Right Foods

Exercises are not all you need to improve your core strength. The foods put into the body play a major role in ensuring the midsection is kept in shape. It will also allow the digestive system to work efficiently, which can improve health and well-being tremendously. Some important foods to add to your regular menu include eggs, almonds, yogurt, leafy greens, and apples. The vitamins and nutrients provided by these foods are what's needed for a strong body. 

Do Multiple Versions of the Plank

Telling someone a plank will improve their core isn't exactly complete information. Many plank versions exist that need to be done if you want to target all areas of the midsection. Try a plank up on your hands and then one down on your forearms. A side plank where you turn to your side and raise your body off the ground is also necessary. This needs to be repeated on each side of the body. A modified plank done on your knees may be best if you're a beginner.
