Natural Ways to Get Your Caffeine Kick

Caffeine often gets a pretty bad rap. Even though most of us use it as a form of energy or a quick pick me up, the notion to give it up for good is tossed around steadily. For a lot of people, it’s not necessarily the caffeine in particular, but rather in the way that we get it. Soda, diet soda, and calorie packed coffee treats are the most common. So, if you still want to have your caffeine, but would rather skip the soda or latte habit, check out these natural ways to get just a little bit of caffeine for a lift throughout the day.

Black Coffee

If you don’t want the calorie packed, sugar filled coffee drinks, but still want the caffeine, try drinking coffee black. This can certainly take a lot of getting used to, so give yourself some time to get used to it. If you can’t stand it, try a little non dairy creamer and just a touch of sugar. This won’t be too many calories, but will help with the bitter flavor of straight black coffee.

Chocolate

If you really want to do it healthily, go for the dark chocolate, which can give you the caffeine and also provide your body with healthy antioxidants.
