She studied her Doctorate in Chiropractic at Parker University in Dallas and graduated in December of 2020 along with two Bachelor in Science degrees: one in anatomy and the other in health and wellness. What drew her to chiropractic is the non-invasive way to treat people. Growing up with immigrant parents in the little city of San Angelo, Texas, she saw them work long hours for little pay. This lifestyle meant that taking any time to recover from expensive medical procedures would be financially risky. While trying to find a way to help her aging parents, she learned about chiropractic: how it works on the musculoskeletal system, how there’s no recovery time after treatment, and how it may prevent or prolong the need for surgical intervention.

Outside of chiropractic, Dr. Ko is a foodie and a mom to two cats, Taj Mahalo and Sapphire. Don’t be alarmed if she casually brings up food, she’s just thinking of her next meal.
