Dr. Michael Johnsey is one of the longest-serving members of The Joint Chiropractic family, having been part of it since 2012. He began working at Shadow Creek in 2017. He received his doctorate from Texas Chiropractic College in 1997. He previously attended McNeese State and Xavier; he received a bachelor of science in nursing,and a master of science in nurse anesthesia.

“The thing I love the most about being part of the chiropractic field is engaging with patients,” Dr. Johnsey says. “Diagnosing and treating patients appropriately and helping them regain full function of their body is extremely gratifying.”

A native of Louisiana, Dr. Johnsey enjoys fishing,and would prefer to do that than just about anything. It’s a great pastime because he can do it with his four sons, which includes twins. He and his wife also have a rescue dog named Duke.

“There’s no great circumstance for why I got into chiropractic,” Dr. Johnsey says, “but I enjoy doing it and I know daily that this is what I’m supposed to be doing.”

Dr. Johnsey enjoys people, and that’s what he likes most about being the local chiropractor for Shadow Creek. “We have, overall, wonderful owners and patients who want to improve,” he says.

In Case You Didn’t Know

Dr. Johnsey says the one thing he always keeps in his refrigerator is milk. “I like it,” he says.

A fan of football and the Houston Texans, Dr. Johnsey would love to throw a dinner party and maybe a few passes with some of his favorites, quarterback Deshaun Watson, defensive end J.J. Watt, and wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins. His fourth for this fantasy football dinner party would be actor Dwayne Johnson, who was a defensive lineman for the University of Miami Hurricanes before he achieved wrestling stardom as The Rock.

“I would like to know what, in common, gives them the drive to compete at such a high level,” Dr. Johnsey says.

He says his greatest achievement is raising four sons. “Making the effort to be there and watching them develop and accept new challenges has been extremely rewarding,” he says.

Dr. Angelo Huynh grew up in southern Vietnam before moving to the U.S. in 1990. Since then, he has lived in Houston, TX. He graduated from the University of Houston with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology and later graduated from Texas Chiropractic College with his Doctors of Chiropractic degree in 2001. He says the best part about being in the chiropractic field is that “chiropractors help patients achieve better health and ultimately, an improved quality of life throughout one’s life span.”

Dr. Angelo knew chiropractic was his calling, “when I was a teenager, I injured my shoulder. I had an older friend who was interning for a Chiropractic college. When I came to see him for my treatment, I noticed there was progress with my shoulder, and it happened naturally. Growing up in easter Asian culture, there are natural remedies and alternative ways to treat diseases. So, getting treated by a chiropractor further fueled my curiosity of chiropractic.”

When Dr. Angelo is not working he enjoys spending time with and traveling with his family, playing golf, and playing soccer. His wife Jeslyn is currently working on her Ph.D. in Criminology. He has three children. Ashley is 19 years old and is attending Houston Baptist University. His 17-year-old Alvina and 14-year-old Aston attend high school. He also has two adorable dogs, Brownie and Cooper. Brownie is a brown spaniel mix, and Cooper is a black and white spotted chiweenie. Four “famous” people, living or dead who would comprise his perfect dinner party include Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Confucius, and Tiger Woods. He says he admires them and they are successful in their own way, which inspires him to be successful as well.

My name is Dr. Ben Sheehan, but I don’t mind patient calling me, Dr. Ben. I began with The Joint in 2018. I am currently working at Greater Hobby. We recently just opened Greater Hobby and I am the Clinic Director.

I graduated from Texas Chiropractic College in 2015 where I also received my degree in Biology. Second best thing about being in the chiropractic field (full quote): Showing those skeptic/sarcastic patients whose spouses force them to come over pain of sleeping on the couch that Chiropractic isn’t placebo. What I love about The Joint is the fact that the care is affordable and gives the ever-expanding lower class access to what is increasingly expensive and out of reach care. The Joint is filling the gap.

In my off time I enjoy golfing, walking my dog, training, reading history, and trading. Josephine is my wife. She is an Advanced Practice Provider for TCH working in 2 units that are both top ranked in the world. We have 2 cats (Andy Bernard and Wee Kitty) and a dog, Toby. Dr. Michelle Baldwin joined The Joint Chiropractic in 2024 when she became part of the team at the Greater Hobby clinic, where she does the rewarding work of helping people as their local healthcare provider.

“The best part of being a chiropractor is being able to treat patients without medication,” she says. “It is important to treat the patient as a whole and not just treat temporary symptoms. By doing this we are able to focus on wellness and the overall health of our patients.”

One of her favorite aspects of working at The Joint is being able to treat all ages. “It is safe for every person in every stage of life to be seen by a chiropractor,” she says.

Originally from Illinois, Dr. B, as her patients call her, lived in Bossier City, La., before moving to Austin and then Pearland.

When she’s not at the office she can be found swimming at the beach or working out.

Dr. B attended the University of Houston-Clear Lake where she earned a Bachelor of Science in both Psychology and Biology with a concentration in Physiology/Pre-health. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology and a Doctorate at Texas Chiropractic College in Pasadena.

“While I was in a program studying Anatomy, the teacher told me about chiropractic care and it matched what I wanted to do as a health professional,” she says. “I applied right then and got into this amazing profession.”

The most memorable experience Dr. B has had in the chiropractic field was the first time she saw a newborn baby being treated by a chiropractor. “I knew right then this is what I wanted to do,” she says. “Since then I have been training with the non-profit International Chiropractic Pediatric Association.”

She loves the opportunity to work at The Joint in Pearland. “Being able to work and live in the same community where I went to school and grew up is really special to me,” she says.

In Case You Didn’t Know

Dr. B always keeps cheese sticks on hand. “Who doesn't love a good snack?”

If she could plan the ideal dinner party including four famous guests, Dr. B would invite:

  • God - “To be able to sit down with our father would be such an amazing and special moment.”
  • Albert Einstein - “His amazing mind and his concepts were so advanced for his time.”
  • Marie Curie - “She is so inspiring to be such a pioneer as a woman in science.”
  • Queen Elizabeth - “Who wouldn't want to have dinner with the Queen?”

If she authored an autobiography, Dr. B would entitle it A Little Bit of Everything. “I feel like this would be a good title because I have done a little of most things, but not a lot of one thing yet,” she says.

The best advice she’s ever received is: “If it doesn't challenge you, it doesn’t change you.”

The best advice she has for others is: “Wake up and do your best every day.”

Dr. Duhon finds immense fulfillment in being part of a team that empowers patients to take charge of their well-being.

A graduate of Texas Chiropractic College in Pasadena, TX, Dr. Duhon earned her Doctor of Chiropractic degree in April 2017. She also holds a BS in Human Anatomy from Texas Chiropractic College and an AS in Life Science from San Jacinto College in Houston, TX.

One of the aspects Dr. Duhon loves most about chiropractic care is its ability to positively transform lives through natural, non-invasive methods. Whether helping patients eliminate chronic pain or simply enabling them to return to their favorite activities, Dr. Duhon finds the collaborative effort toward better overall health deeply rewarding. She takes pride in the fact that chiropractic care is more than just adjustments—it's about educating, listening, and providing exercises to help patients achieve long-term wellness.

Dr. Duhon’s passion for chiropractic was sparked when she shadowed Dr. Julie McKechnie. Seeing how much patients looked forward to their appointments and left feeling better than when they arrived was a defining moment for her, cementing her desire to join the profession and provide that same level of care.

Some of her most memorable experiences come from working with pregnant patients. As a mother of two, Dr. Duhon understands the physical changes and challenges pregnancy brings. She finds it incredibly rewarding to help expectant mothers relieve discomfort and maintain pelvic balance, often contributing to smoother labor and delivery. Meeting their newborns after birth is always a special and heartwarming experience for her.

Born and raised in Friendswood, TX, Dr. Duhon is an avid anime fan and has recently rediscovered her love of reading. Her favorite genres are thrillers and fantasy, and she's always on the lookout for new book recommendations.

Dr. Duhon is happily married to her husband, Kyle, a Registered Cardiac Sonographer at Memorial Hermann Hospital. Together, they have two wonderful children, Liam and Lily. Both Dr. Duhon and her husband share a passion for anime and video games, which helped spark their connection. Their family also includes a nearly 10-year-old white boxer named Aero and a newly rescued orange tabby kitten, Sophie.

Dr. Duhon looks forward to continuing to help her patients achieve their health goals and live pain-free, active lives.

I’ve been a patient for over a year and will probably be one until the day I die. When I first went to The Joint I had a lot of lower back troubles that were paired with a migraine that would bring me to tears.
