These Mysterious Causes of Back Pain, Solved

Experiencing back aches and pains on a regular basis is already bad enough as it is, but it is even worse when you don't even know what is causing your discomfort. This is because when you are able to point to the exact cause of your pain, it is that much easier to get the exact treatment that you need to find pain relief, and you can also take the right steps towards preventing any future discomfort you may experience.

None of these positive steps can be taken when the cause and source of your back pain is mysterious, uncertain, and seemingly comes from out of nowhere. When I recently came across an article by Care 2 that discussed some of the most surprising causes of back pain and soreness, I knew that I had to share what I learned from the article, so keep on reading to learn about what may be causing your mysterious back pain and discomfort.

Do you carry a heavy bag to and from work or school? That may be one of your problems that is contributing to back pain, and keep in mind that this is only exacerbated and made worse when you wear shoes that don't offer much ergonomic support as well. Shoulder bags do not distribute weight evenly, which causes the spine to stretch in an unnatural manner and of course, leads to back pain. Combine this with wearing high heels, which offer no arch support for the feet, or any other type of shoe that does not fit on your feet well, and the effects on your level of back pain will become very noticeable. Instead, invest in a backpack with padded and adjustable shoulder straps, and be sure to wear shoes that offer arch support.

Another thing to take into consideration is the mattress you sleep on, and your sleeping habits in general. If your mattress is of decent quality, it should last nine years, so be sure to replace it out in a timely manner. Also invest in a mattress that offers the level of firmness and support that suits your body type, since an uncomfortable mattress can wreak havoc on your spine and your quality of sleep. It is also important to choose a pillow that offers the right amount of support to keep your neck stable throughout the night.

These are just a few common yet relatively unknown causes of back pain. It may help to see a chiropractor to get further advice and treatment on improving your spinal health.
