Dr. Cole joined The Joint Chiropractic family of local healthcare providers in 2016 and currently works at Joint Chiropractic’s San Antonio’s Alamo Ranch location. A graduate of local Parker Chiropractic College, who studied Kinesiology, Science, Anatomy, and Wellness Medicine, she received her doctorate of chiropractic in 2011, she still enjoys learning and loves sharing about health-related issues, wellness, and Chiropractic care.
Dr. Cole, as she likes to be called, says the best thing about being in the chiropractic field is: “Teaching people how to live their life without pain and discomfort”.
The second best thing about being in the chiropractic field is “Watching miracles happen every day”.
Dr. Cole grew up in a military family and moved back to Texas to attend College and still really enjoys living in the San Antonio area near friends and family.
She knew chiropractic was his calling when- “: I was in the military and at the time I was married to a service member and while he was deployed in Iraq he injured his shoulder. While he was deployed I put myself through massage school to learn to fix his injury. My instructor at the time was a chiropractor and I worked for him as a massage therapist and watched him fix my spouse at the time in a few short treatments. I knew then that chiropractic was the right choice for me”.
The thing I like best about working at the Alamo Ranch location of The Joint,” We have a great team of Chiropractors and professionals, '' she says, and “ Being able to see and help treat the local community every day.”: I am a mom of two and my schedule often fluctuates and I have always liked that at The Joint you can walk in when it is convenient to you. I love the simplicity of this model and I have met some incredible people while allowing chiropractic to remain convenient and affordable.”
In Case You Didn’t Know: What’s the one thing in your fridge that you must have, and why? Dr. Cole says she must have Sparkling Water (preferably strawberry) because it makes me happy.
Four “famous” people, living or dead (but not friends/family members), who would comprise your perfect dinner party, and why? I would have to say my first guest would be Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Snoop Dogg, Martha Stewart, and Barack Obama...for starters the energy between Snoop and Martha...there won’t be a dry eye in the house and RBG and Obama...that just speaks for itself. So much wisdom and success across all platforms at that table.
What’s the coolest thing you’ve ever done, and why was it so cool? One day back in 2001 prior to 9/11, I walked into the Navy recruiting office and just enlisted in the military. I don’t think I wanted to enlist but after being told by my father that I would never make it, I had to set out to prove him wrong. Not only did I make it, but I also enlisted in the Army. So I have served in two branches of the Military. Some of the best people I know I met while serving. I have mastered the art of self-discipline, motivation, adaptability, leadership, and accountability because of my time in the military.
Dr. Blan joined The Joint Chiropractic’s family of local healthcare providers in 2021 at Joint Chiropractic’s Alamo Ranch location, after many years in the profession. Dr. Todd, as he likes to be called, says the best thing about being in the chiropractic field is: “ I enjoy working with people. It is fun, because it is not only to get people out of pain, but it is about wellness ”.
The second best thing about being in the chiropractic field is “To see how chiropractic can change people's lives ”.
Dr. Todd grew up in the Los Angeles area and now enjoys living in the San Antonio area with friends and family. He also enjoys Hiking, family time, and enjoying disconnecting from the busy life
He knew chiropractic was his calling when- “My dad was a fireman. Once while assisting the paramedics, a patient became violent. As a result, my dad sustained whiplash in his lower back which affected his L4 vertebrae and sciatic nerve requiring medical attention. For one month, he had to use a cane just to walk because of severe back spasms. During this time, the medical doctor put him on muscle-relaxer pills and started physical therapy. Nothing worked so he tried chiropractic. I remember driving my dad to that first chiropractic visit. I had to carry him into the office. After that first visit, my dad was able to not only walk out of the office but was able to drive home. After just one trip to the chiropractor, he experienced more relief than he had with months of drugs and therapy. The pain and muscle spasms were reduced significantly. He never used his cane again. This was my first exposure to chiropractic care. I did not know at the time that I would soon be a chiropractic patient myself.
Shortly after my dad’s visit to the chiropractor, I was at basketball practice. All of the sudden, I had difficulty breathing. The more I ran the worse it got. I had never experienced anything like it before. It got to the point that I could no longer run. I left practice early. When I got home, I told my dad what happened. He said, “We’re going to the chiropractor.” I did not know if it would help but I went with my dad. After one adjustment, I was able to run up and down the court the next day. I have loved chiropractic ever since! ”
The thing I like best about working at the Alamo Ranch location of The Joint,” he says, “This area is full of great hard-working people that just want to be the best versions of themselves to be there for their families.
In Case You Didn’t Know: What’s the one thing in your fridge that you must have, and why? Dr. Todd says he must have: “ I juice a lot so lots of fruits and vegetables”
Four “famous” people, living or dead (but not friends/family members), who would comprise your perfect dinner party, and why:.Abraham Lincoln, Robin Williams, Jesus, William Shakespeare, such great people would make for a fun dinner.
What’s the coolest thing you’ve ever done, and why was it so cool: while in Little League I was chosen to represent my league to participate in an infield/outfield warm-up at Angel Stadium before an Angel game.
