Dr. David Marshall, D.C. is a Chiropractor at Alamo Ranch

Dr. David Marshall was born and raised in Chicago. In his mid 20’s, looking to escape the cold and snow, Dr. Marshall moved to San Diego where he met his wife Patricia. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from The Southern California University of Health Sciences in 2010.

Dr. Marshall has been a chiropractor with The Joint since 2012 and has worked in clinics in California, Colorado, and Texas. His passion is helping people naturally achieve and maintain a higher quality of life. Dr. Marshall has learned how to help a wide range of patients from infants to grandparents with a variety of ailments including neck pain, back pain, headaches/migraines, sciatica, and much more.

During his days off Dr. Marshall enjoys hiking, playing the guitar, and spending time with his wife and 4 daughters.

Dr. Todd Blan, D.C. is a Chiropractor at Alamo Ranch

Dr. Blan joined The Joint Chiropractic’s family of local healthcare providers in 2021 at Joint Chiropractic’s Alamo Ranch location, after many years in the profession. A graduate of Los Angeles College of Chiropractic, who studied Family Science and Chiropractic medicine, he received his doctorate of chiropractic in 1995, he still enjoys learning and loves teaching and working with his patients about health and Chiropractic care.

Dr. Todd, as he likes to be called, says the best thing about being in the chiropractic field is: “ I enjoy working with people. It is fun, because it is not only to get people out of pain, but it is about wellness ”.

The second best thing about being in the chiropractic field is “To see how chiropractic can change people's lives ”.

Dr. Todd grew up in the Los Angeles area and now enjoys living in the San Antonio area with friends and family. He also enjoys Hiking, family time, and enjoying disconnecting from the busy life

He knew chiropractic was his calling when- “My dad was a fireman. Once while assisting the paramedics, a patient became violent. As a result, my dad sustained whiplash in his lower back which affected his L4 vertebrae and sciatic nerve requiring medical attention. For one month, he had to use a cane just to walk because of severe back spasms. During this time, the medical doctor put him on muscle-relaxer pills and started physical therapy. Nothing worked so he tried chiropractic. I remember driving my dad to that first chiropractic visit. I had to carry him into the office. After that first visit, my dad was able to not only walk out of the office but was able to drive home. After just one trip to the chiropractor, he experienced more relief than he had with months of drugs and therapy. The pain and muscle spasms were reduced significantly. He never used his cane again. This was my first exposure to chiropractic care. I did not know at the time that I would soon be a chiropractic patient myself.

Shortly after my dad’s visit to the chiropractor, I was at basketball practice. All of the sudden, I had difficulty breathing. The more I ran the worse it got. I had never experienced anything like it before. It got to the point that I could no longer run. I left practice early. When I got home, I told my dad what happened. He said, “We’re going to the chiropractor.” I did not know if it would help but I went with my dad. After one adjustment, I was able to run up and down the court the next day. I have loved chiropractic ever since! ”

The thing I like best about working at the Alamo Ranch location of The Joint,” he says, “This area is full of great hard-working people that just want to be the best versions of themselves to be there for their families.

In Case You Didn’t Know: What’s the one thing in your fridge that you must have, and why? Dr. Todd says he must have: “ I juice a lot so lots of fruits and vegetables”

Four “famous” people, living or dead (but not friends/family members), who would comprise your perfect dinner party, and why:.Abraham Lincoln, Robin Williams, Jesus, William Shakespeare, such great people would make for a fun dinner.

What’s the coolest thing you’ve ever done, and why was it so cool: while in Little League I was chosen to represent my league to participate in an infield/outfield warm-up at Angel Stadium before an Angel game.

Dr. Daryus Blackburn, D.C. is a Chiropractor at Alamo Ranch

Dr. Daryus joined The Joint Chiropractic’s family of local healthcare providers in 2021 at Joint Chiropractic’s Alamo Ranch and Potranco locations. A graduate of local Life West Chiropractic College , who studied Science and Chiropractic medicine, he received his doctorate of chiropractic in 2021 , he still enjoys learning and loves teaching and working with his patients about health and Chiropractic care.

Dr. Daryus, as he likes to be called, says the best thing about being in the chiropractic field is: “Watching people leave feeling better than when they came in.”

The second best thing about being in the chiropractic field is “Being a minority. It sounds weird but being in a minority can have its advantages. It's a niche career that not everyone can do and since there are so few of us, it's great to help others feel better!”

Dr. Daryus recently moved to the area and now enjoys living in the area near new friends and family. He also enjoys Hiking, swimming, dancing, and watching movies.

He knew chiropractic was his calling when- “ I actually didn't have a singular event that led me to chiropractic. Ever since high school I knew I wanted to be some doctor of some sort. Helping people was a passion of mine so I knew that's what I wanted to do. I explored different types of doctors and my brother happened to fall into chiropractic first through his own experiences. Two things happened that solidified my journey. One, I saw what chiropractic could do first hand after he adjusted my little sister a few times. She was born with severe asthma and I would have to help give her breathing treatments. After a couple months of regular adjustments, her asthma became less and less severe and she eventually stopped the breathing treatments all together. That was amazing! And then two, he told me the philosophy of helping people without pharmaceuticals and surgery. Following those two things, I knew chiropractic was my calling.”

The thing I like best about working at these locations of The Joint,” he says, “The team dynamic we built makes working so much easier. When you enjoy going into work and not dreading it, that's when you can make the real difference in peoples' lives.”.

In Case You Didn’t Know: What’s the one thing in your fridge that you must have, and why? Dr. Daryus says he must have: Oatmilk. It tastes great, a better alternative to dairy, perfect for fruit smoothies or cookies and milk (balance).

Four “famous” people, living or dead (but not friends/family members), who would comprise your perfect dinner party, and why: 1. Jesus Christ because the stories and wisdom you can get from them is indescribable. I'm not even religious but I know they would flip my reality upside down. 2. Donald Glover because I think he's a creative genius and tapping into his brain would be cool. 3. Michael Jackson because I think he's the greatest entertainer of all time so I would love to hear his process and perspective on life. 4. B.J. Palmer because I really admire how he married the science world with the spiritual world.

What’s the coolest thing you’ve ever done, and why was it so cool: Be myself. It's always cool being your true authentic self.

Dr. Zachary Roth, D.C. is a Chiropractor at Alamo Ranch

Dr. Roth joined The Joint Chiropractic’s family of local healthcare providers in 2022 at Joint Chiropractic’s Alamo Ranch location. A graduate of local Palmer Chiropractic College , who studied Neuroscience, and Chiropractic medicine, he received his doctorate of chiropractic in 2013 , he still enjoys learning about health, wellness and Chiropractic care.

xDr. Roth, as he likes to be called, says the best thing about being in the chiropractic field is: “Getting people pain free without drugs or surgery.”

The second best thing about being in the chiropractic field is “Getting people to function optimally and see their faces after they get adjusted. ”.

Dr. Roth worked in the Fayetteville area and now enjoys living in San Antonio with his family. He enjoys being in Central Texas.

The thing I like best about working at the Alamo Ranch location of The Joint,” he says, “ The team and the Wellness Plan affordability for patients who seek chiropractic care and the convenience for all.

In Case You Didn’t Know: What’s the one thing in your fridge that you must have, and why? Dr. Roth says he must have: Pickles! A delicious, low calorie crunch!.

Four “famous” people, living or dead (but not friends/family members), who would comprise your perfect dinner party, and why: Julia Childs, Paul Hollywood, Alton Brown, and Margaret Atwood. The first three would be to see if my cooking is up to snuff. I am just dying to know how Margaret Atwood comes up with her dystopian worlds.

What’s the coolest thing you’ve ever done, and why was it so cool: Watching my wife give birth to my son! We made a human! In his spare time he enjoys: looking at Art and spending time with my wife and son. I also love reading and exercising.
