Dr. Fisseha Gebremedhin embarked on his journey as a dedicated healthcare provider at The Joint Chiropractic in the year 2020. He found his fulfilling work at Seagoville and Waxahachie in 2023, where he continues to pursue it passionately.
"The most gratifying aspect of being a chiropractor," he enthusiastically notes, "is witnessing patients experience immediate relief and complete recovery from the issues they face. It's incredible to see how it enhances their daily lives and overall well-being."
Affectionately known as Dr. G by his patients, he has previously served the communities of Dallas, Arlington, and Cedar Hill. Dr. G's journey with The Joint Chiropractic began at the Arlington Highlands location. Originally hailing from Ethiopia, he spent his formative years immersed in soccer, eventually becoming a high school teacher and an esteemed administrator in the science department in Addis Ababa. His decision to immigrate to the United States marked a pivotal turning point in his life.
Dr. G, a loving father of two daughters, finds solace in the world of soccer, particularly the British Premier League when he's not passionately tending to his patients. Most importantly Dr. G serves the Kingdom of God at the Ethiopian Evangelical Believers Church in Dallas.
His extensive educational journey culminated in a doctorate from Parker University in Dallas, following a bachelor's degree in biology and a master's degree in educational research, all achieved in his native Ethiopia. Dr. G's thirst for knowledge and commitment to his field also led him to earn a master's degree in clinical neuroscience at Parker University.
Interestingly, his path to becoming a chiropractor was unexpected. Dr. G initially intended to pursue a Ph.D. in educational research with a specialization in statistics. However, fate intervened when an article on alternative medicine prompted a significant shift in his career trajectory.
Reflecting on this pivotal moment, Dr. G shares, "While I was exploring the world of alternative medicine, my then-boss recommended that I seek the help of a chiropractor for the chronic upper back and shoulder pain I had endured for eight long years. Little did I know that this encounter would ultimately shape my life's purpose."
At 8 years old, Dr. Brioné Lewis knew she wanted to become a chiropractor. In her childhood she witnessed her grandmother go from excruciating pain to being able to avoid surgery thanks to chiropractic care. That alone convinced her that chiropractic was something she needed to be a part of. Dr. Lewis obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in physical therapy. After college she served 8 years in the army reserves under the medical service corps as a PAD officer. In the military she learned the value of selfless service that helped reinforce her love for helping others.
While pursuing her chiropractic license, Dr. Lewis spent time working at Curis Functional Health gaining experience in family practice by treating patients of all ages. Dr. Lewis also spent time working in a PI clinic where she worked with several people involved in car accidents. These experiences developed her skills in physical therapy while expanding her knowledge through treating patients recovering from high stress conditions.
Dr. Lewis is also a certified stretch practitioner. Before starting her career at The Joint, she spent time training on the importance of stretching and learning how well it complements chiropractic adjustments. In her free time Dr. Lewis enjoys hiking, roller skating, swimming, eating good food, and spending time with loved ones. She has been with the Liechty/Foulks franchise since June 2024 and has found a new home in doing the work that she loves.
