How to Tastily Add Healthy Foods to Your Diet
Most of us want to lose at least a little bit of weight. The hard part is not knowing that we should, it is actually doing it! "Diet" food can taste so boring. If you are used to a diet of salty chips, yummy desserts, and similar foods, then eating healthy may seem like a bore. Luckily, there are ways to make healthy foods taste delicious. Check out these simple ways to add healthy foods to your diet in a tasty fashion.
Add Just a Slice
If you are in the beginning stages of adding healthy food, try doing it just a little bit at a time. Not a fan of avocado? Try adding just a slice to your sandwich. Don’t like tomato? Again, just one slice to a sandwich or salad can bring your body a lot of good. Other healthy foods that you can eat little bits at a time include cucumber, carrot (one stick!), celery, and many others. Just because you don’t eat a lot doesn’t mean you aren’t getting some great healthy benefits.
Snack It Up
If you haven’t found a way to add healthy foods to your meals yet, then start with the snacks. Snacks can often make you or break you, so choosing wisely can really go a long way. Try slicing up a banana or apple and dipping it in peanut butter. Try eating carrots with just a bit of fat free Ranch dressing. Choose some cherry tomatoes and eat them like chips (popping them in your mouth without restraint!). There are some delicious and simple ways to get in some healthy foods without making too many changes to your diet too quickly.
Experiment With Desserts
Desserts are delicious; there’s no doubt about it. They also contain a lot of calories. To get in some super healthy foods, but not bust your waistline, try changing up your dessert routine. There are some great healthy dessert options that won’t hurt your calorie count. Chop up some fruit and make a fruit salad. Slice a pear, drizzle it with honey, and grill it up. Even eating a cup of fruit with some low fat whip cream can be a tasty treat to satisfy a sweet tooth without the guilt.
