Use Time Well and Exercise While Sitting
By Tom Herrin
Exercise is something that just about everyone could stand use. Long gone are the days when most people got plenty of physical activity. Working with the hands was the norm and, even at home, people did lots of work that was physically taxing. Today's workplace is quite different. There are still some jobs that require physical exertion, but a large majority of jobs simply are places with desks, computers, or other similar tools. Sitting for most of the day is much more common for those who work in such jobs. Getting some kind of exercise may be a little more important for those individuals. For those who have a difficult time getting the exercise they need, finding a way to exercise while sitting can be a big help.
Improving Hand Strength May Be Easy
Since so many people do very little in the way of building strength in the hands, it may help to identify some easy ways to do so. One of those is simply to make a fist, squeeze tightly, and hold for up to five seconds. After doing this, releasing and spreading the fingers wide will complete one rep. Doing this for up to 10 times with each hand can make a pretty good way to work the hands. It is likely that a little progress will be noticed before long.
Working the Core May Be Possible
Lots of people try to build their core. It seems to be a popular topic with some exercise enthusiasts. This is another thing that can be done while sitting with little or no extra effort. It may be done by sitting up and grabbing hold of the desk. Turning completely from one side to the other can be a full rep. If this is done by using only the core muscles, it can provide a fair amount of work. Doing 10 to 15 reps can be much easier than some of those intense workouts.
Be Your Own Trainer
Working out while sitting can provide a lot of flexibility in the schedule, so you can make be whatever you want. Identifying areas that have the greatest need can allow you to focus on those. It is pretty easy to have some kind of program that best suits your schedule. Doing these kinds of activities not only develops some muscles but also energize you when you are getting sluggish. Try doing and see how it works for you.
