Why More Water is Your Secret Weight Loss Weapon

By Genevieve Cunningham

There are a million pieces of diet and fitness advice out there aimed at helping you drop a few pounds. Some of it sounds fairly complicated. Eat this, but not that. Eat this food, but only when cooked in this certain manner. Luckily, losing weight doesn’t have to be difficult. A great tip to get you started is to simply drink more water. Check out these great ways in which simply upping your intake of water may help you lose weight and keep it off.

It Keeps You Full

For weight loss, this is huge. When you feel full, you eat less. When you eat less, you lose weight. It’s pretty simple. Try drinking water before every meal and sipping on a glass in-between. This will help you take in less at meal time, and the sipping will help eliminate the need for other types of drinks between meals. Add lemon, lime, or another fruit to help make the water interesting until you can finally make the switch to straight H2O without complaint.

It Flushes Out the Cells

When you first start drinking more water, you’ll probably feel heavier. You’ll feel a bit bloated and rather waterlogged. At first, it’ll make you wonder whether or not it’s really worth it and whether you are doing the right thing. Stick with it. After a short period of time, your body will fill up with enough water, and it will then flush out the cells all at once. You’ll feel big and full, and then all of a sudden you’ll feel smaller than ever. It also helps that when the cells flush, it will take toxins and other negative foreign bodies with it, leaving a healthier body behind.

It Improves Body Function

Because water is such a crucial part of your body and health, a lack of water brings some serious consequences. When you don’t get enough, your body gets dehydrated, which can then make your skin dry, slow digestion, give you headaches, and bring a whole host of other negative side effects. By getting enough water, you’ll be boosting virtually every body function, and thus improving your health overall.

Water is an excellent addition to any diet, but for some reason, so many of us skip this very important dietary agent. Do what you can to get more water in your life. Not only will you feel and look better, but you may seriously benefit in the weight loss department. The more water, the better your health, and the better you’ll feel every day.
