3 Ways to Feel Better Every Single Day
By Genevieve Cunningham
Everyone has the desire to feel better. It's not that we necessarily feel bad, but we're often feeling rundown, tired, irritable. We get beaten down by life, and it's hard to escape the cycle. Feeling better -- whether that means with more energy, less illness, or something else -- is a common, and luckily, an attainable goal. But how do we do it? If you're ready to feel a little better in your life and health every day, take a look at these three things to start doing right away.
Get More Sleep
Getting more sleep is an almost surefire way to make you feel better. Most of us aren't even getting close to enough sleep. Even if we go to bed on time (unlikely), we toss and turn or wake up multiple times per night. To improve your sleep, go to bed at the same time every night, turn off your electronics, and make your environment comfortable. The more sleep you get, the better you're going to feel as you go through life every day.
Eat Less Junk
Junk food might taste good while you're eating it, but it won't make you feel good long-term. In fact, it might make you feel really bad. Besides leading to the obvious weight gain, junk food can also cause blemishes on the skin, poor energy, and an inability to concentrate. You are what you eat, so if you eat junk, that's exactly how you're going to feel. Try cutting out just a little junk from your diet, and you'll slowly notice some big improvements in the way that you feel.
Get a Little Sun on Your Skin
No one is advising you to go out and get a sunburn. But spending a little time in the sun is good for your health. It allows you to soak in some necessary Vitamin D, and it can also help to boost your mood. Put on some sunscreen and go outside. Leave your phone indoors. Even a simple 10 or 15 minutes can significantly improve your health and leave you feeling better than ever.
Do you want to feel better every day? Of course you do! And you can! Use these tips to improve your health, boost your mood, and help you feel better in your own skin every single day.
