3 Exercises to Get Your Body Ready for Summer

Basking in the warm breeze of spring you may begin to consider how to get ready for your summer vacations. For many this may mean trips to the beach or a beautiful pool. With that in mind, most begin to shop for swimsuits and shorts and want to be in top condition when flaunting all they have. There are a few simple exercises which can be done to help get your body ready for summer including:

  • Planking is ideal for the core

Squats are Good for the Thighs

Many who have the desire for beautifully toned thighs do not mind some slight stiffness that can accompany the exercises necessary for achieving the look. Fitness gurus suggest that squats are among the best exercises when looking to build muscle and tone the legs. One of the best benefits of this exercise is that it can be done anywhere, which eliminates all the excuses. Consider starting your daily routine of squats right away.

Planking is Ideal for the Core

Fitness instructors rely on planking to tone the core in a variety of classes. Health and wellness professionals advise that planking is one of the best exercises for the body. Participating in this exercise strengthens the core and can help to improve posture. Both of these benefits can help relieve back pain. Do you love push-ups? Research suggests that very few love this exercise. I am among those who do not. However, I recognize their value in my workouts and make sure to include them routinely. Push-ups have long provided a tough workout to group exercise classes across the nation.
