3 Exercise Classes to Try This Summer

By Virginia Laird

With a plethora of workout classes available, it can be quite a dilemma trying to decide which ones you will love. For many, it may take a few trips to each class before you can determine which path you may choose to continue. Fitness experts suggest that trial and error is the best way to determine what you will love and what you may prefer to avoid. For many, summer is a great time to try a wide variety of workouts. Fitness experts have suggested a few classes for you to try right away, including:

  • Spin class is for everyone
  • Yoga can tone and sculpt
  • Boot camp provides a challenge

Spin Class Is for Everyone

Spin is catching fire across the country. Fitness instructors praise this class as a low-impact, high intensity class and is gaining popularity among people of all ages. For those who have never tried a spin class, it is well worth the challenge. A spin class  takes place on a stationary bike, requiring the legs to work hard and burn fat. Check with your local gym to find times and classes that may meet your needs.

Yoga Can Tone and Sculpt

Fitness experts praise yoga as a great class for those looking to tone and sculpt the body. In this group exercise format, a variety of stretches and poses are used. This class also incorporates meditation to help with relaxation. If you are looking for something a little slower-paced with the ability to get the body in shape quickly, yoga can be a class to try. Beware that many who teach this class are serious about the peace found in the room; be on time to class and be sure to leave your giggles and rowdy spirits at the door.

Boot Camp Provides a Challenge

If you are looking for a challenging class that is likely to be doing something different each time you attend, boot camp may be just what you need. This class can take place in any setting. It will use a variety of exercises, including running, tire lifts, and so much more. Fitness instructors label this as a high intensity, high-impact workout for anyone of all ages. If you are up for a demanding routine that is sure to make you feel the burn, boot camp is a class to try.

With summer just around the corner, it is a great time to begin trying new classes as you do all you can to get your body ready for your swimsuit.
