How to Get Your Hair to Grow Faster
By Genevieve Cunningham
Most of us desire change from time to time. We want our routines to change or our clothes. We want a new car or new shoes. It’s normal to desire a little variety. While embarking on some change requires a lot of patience and planning, there are some changes that we can make quickly and on a whim. And one that gets used often? The quick and drastic haircut. While some people find a drastic haircut just the thing they needed, others regret it immediately and are left waiting for it to grow out. If you’re in the latter group, take a look at these tips for getting your hair to grow faster than ever.
Eat a Well Balanced Diet
Everything in the body is better when the diet is balanced. This allows your body to get the nutrients that it so desperately needs, and each system is able to work efficiently. Make sure that your diet is stocked with plenty of lean meats, fresh veggies, and tons of water. The healthier and more balanced your diet, the better the chances are that your hair will grow long, strong, and beautiful.
Take the Proper Supplements
Even if your diet is impeccable, there may be supplements you can take to encourage your hair to grown. One of the most popular nail and hair enhancers is biotin. Biotin can be taken in pill form, and it encourages both the nails and hair to grow longer, stronger, and faster than ever. Most doctors consider biotin a perfectly safe supplement to add to your routine, but if you have any questions, just ask your doctor for advice.
Stop Washing So Often
When we’re young, we wash our hair fairly often. Maybe it’s because we’re so active and therefore get it really dirty often, or maybe it’s just to establish the habit. Either way, now that you’re older, it’s a good time to stop washing every day. Washing every other day or even every three days is probably a better choice. While this won’t help your hair grow faster directly, it will help to stop the breakage of your hair, which can make it feel healthier in the long run.
If you need or want your hair to grow faster, there are things that you can do to speed it up. While patience is still required, these tips may help the process along, and at the very least, strengthen the hair that you already have. Use these tips regularly, be OK with what you have, and your hair will be longer and stronger before you know it.
